Due to poor positioning. notice how only newcastle fan's have picked up on it, there are some really fickle fan's on this board Why would fans of other clubs be looking and trying to analyze our performance to the same detail as Newcastle fans? http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/6105/harper.jpg Too big a gap at his near post imo, but just because I'm pointing out an error it doesn't mean I'm fickle, I've also mentioned he made some very good saves yesterday. The rule of thumb with 'keepers is "can you cover it"? Harper did have it covered but failed to react quickly enough, that was his error, not his positioning. Both were poor tbh.

Made a couple of great saves yesterday but was certainly at fault for their 3rd and as you pointed out in the opening post he looks overweight.

Two weeks till the Chelsea game, just hope the injuries to Bassong and Taylor aren't that serious.
-
A very much inferior version of David Beckham, he tried so hard to be him but fails, walks like him, runs like, tries to strike a ball like him but just isn't anywhere near as good or talented.
-
Did the ball go out of play between him getting injured and the goal? I can't remember.
-
That mistake was shockingly bad, probably because he's just moved to left centre back for the first time in a long time.

Hopefully binnsy will come on later and let us know, I wasn't there I just noticed the result on the bbc vidiprinter.

1251: GOAL Portsmouth 0-1 Everton Leighton Baines scores his first goal for Everton and it's a little beauty, floating the free-kick over the wall and in-off the far post with his left foot. Though I've got to be honest - David James didn't even dive, and he really should have done.
-
Is he on international duty now? Next week, has games on the 26th, 28th and 31st.

It worked at first but has since stopped working, I had it open in another tab.

Gazza: Fergie would have made me one of his legends had I joined United Paul Gascoigne has admitted he regrets not playing for Manchester United Paul Gascoigne claims he would have been a Manchester United legend if he had not snubbed the club as a youngster. Gascoigne, 41, says it was one of his greatest regrets that he did not sign for Sir Alex Ferguson, who admitted this week that ‘not getting Gazza’ was his biggest disappointment as a manager. ‘He was a fabulous footballer and he would have done brilliantly here,’ said the United boss in the New Statesman. The young Gazza, then on the verge of joining United from Newcastle, was shown around the training ground but chose to join Tottenham instead - and when he contacted Ferguson years later, he says the Scot did not seem interested. ‘Maybe if I had stayed at Man U, I might have been still there,’ the former England midfielder tells Sky News tonight. ‘Look at young Rooney, the Neville brothers and Becks, the way he (Ferguson) just brought them on. I got invited to the academy and it is a magnificent place and you can see the way he treats his players, he treats them with respect but he also makes men out of boys. ‘It took me six years to get back talking to Sir Alex. I called him from Lazio and asked him would he sign us. Gascoigne 'He was with Eric Cantona and he said he would see what Eric Cantona was going to do, but I think everyone knows if you do something to Sir Alex Ferguson the way I did, you don’t get a second chance.’ Gascoigne has great admiration for the current United squad, picking out Cristiano Ronaldo as the player he views as ‘the new Gazza’. ‘I think he is doing a lot better this year than he did last year, even though he doesn’t score as many goals. I think Sir Alex has made him a complete player.’ Sir Alex Ferguson said in an interview that his biggest regret was not signing Paul Gascoigne Gascoigne also revealed that he had recently been invited to visit Diego Maradona. ‘I got a call, they just said Maradona has invited us to stay with him. I said I’d just leave it because he was taking on the job of Argentina coach and he would be busy anyway. ‘In time I would love to manage Newcastle but you have got to take your badges, you have got to be strong. I am feeling really strong now.’

I think I read somewhere that Premier League rules state all contracts must have a wage reduction upon relegation clause. Can't remember where or when so it could have been bollocks.

4 according to the Premier League official website.

Need to get the pitch booked.

I pray the first part is sarcasm, the whole "We are down" is seriously grating on me now. Acceptance? More frustration, this place might as well be called "Negativity Online" at times. West Brom away springs to mind, with the majority thinking we were going to get beat again, I never see a game where the majority on here say "We can and will win this." That might be because we've only won 6 out of 28 league games this season.

He's predominantly a centre back yes but is comfortable at left back as well and has played in both positions for us.

Of course, not exactly Kate Moss yourself Gregory. Aye but I'm not a fat c*** anymore more either, I was and then I did something about it. Oooh, touched a nerve? No, just stating that I've sorted myself out, this time a year and a half ago I couldn't run 100 yards let alone play football.
