  1. 5 strikers not good enough for the Premiership. Its going to be great next season if we do go up....
  2. When you consider some people think the likes of Nolan, Smith, Simpson, Shola etc are good players at this level, I don't see a problem with Nobby being able to handle it even though he is 35. The likes of Graham Alexander looked the part at this level (and still does at 39 in the premiership). He may not have the legs but having a good footballing brain and the technical ability that he does I think he will be a great short term signing.
  3. He is out for 6 weeks having just had a Hernia Operation...
  4. Its M'Bia, Ebondo, Johnson etc all over again. The big question is does Ashley etc really want to sign them or the plan all along to appear that we want to? I know which one my money is on.
  5. Him and Enrique have been our best players this season, surely your opinion is based on anything prior to this season. He's done better against exceedingly mediocre opposition, but still hardly amazing. Nowhere near good enough for Premier League football IMO. I would question if he has he done that well? Hes still living off the hype of the first few games this season, other than that he has been very average IMO
  6. I have had to cancel my season ticket for next season due to all the fixture changes. Its been a nightmare this season, I feel like I have hardly been to any games at all.
  7. I wasn't even being sarcastic. I'd far rather we loan Harewood and Shittu then spend money on Beckford and Kilgallon that could be used next season. Money used next season? There will be feck all spent if Ashleys still here..
  8. Have the NUST interviewed themselves in the mirror yet? If not the Golf Course dossier is still in the lead...
  9. From .com Scouting mission: Toon watch Boyd again Glasgow Rangers strengthened their position at the top of the SPL on Sunday following a 4-1 victory over Hibernian - with Kris Boyd among the scorers. The 26 year-old Ayrshire-born frontman made it fourteen goals this season and also supplied two assists in front of a posse of scouts at Easter Road, which included a representative of Newcastle United.
  10. That should really be posted in the "Renfrewshire in the Championship" thread
  11. 4 out of our next 6 home matches have been moved and the other 2 are Wednesday midweek fixtures. It was great there for a few weeks with what seemed like it was back to the good old days of 3pm Saturday kick offs with us playing 3 fixtures at home but all these changes really are shit and killing the weekend.
  12. Colo to be sold and Sol in for nowt sounds about right for Ashley...
  13. We won't get anyone in until Ashley has attempted to get rid of the likes of Colo, Jonas, Barton and Taylor...
  14. I can't believe you are surprised. You have been on here long enough to know the nonsense that is posted...
  15. This is going to be fun. They wasnt £49 as they did with others at the end of last season as they believe we got a price freeze/discount in year 1 of the 3 year deal when taking this deal in the summer of 2008. However I took them up on their free cup tickets deal for the 08/09 in the August of 2007 so I had actually paid for year 1 before they gave me this so called discount. I have replied to them stating this and explaining I will not be paying the £49 but I just know its going to be a nightmare to get sorted.
  16. Aye but even if you cancelled it now you would still get the option to renew come the end of the season. I don't know how many season tickets currently are in the position they could do this, but if it is a large number, Ashly not seeing this money not going straight into Ashleys pocket each month will be a big blow for him.
  17. Last January I emailed the club in regards to if I could cancel my 3 year agreement due to a mixture of what we could see Ashley was doing to the club (and we were right) and the amount of games that had been getting moved last minute etc fucking it up for people like myself in regards to booking trains. As most of us know we had the option to opt out. "We will be happy to cancel your 2 year agreement, you will need to contact the Box Office on 0191 2611571 where an operator can do this for you. You will need to pay the difference between the freeze price and the standard 1 year price" I ended up keeping my ticket on, like many, however as people are now discussing boycotts, protests and what other ways we can let Ashley know how we feel I have now emailed them asking if we can still cancel this agreement and get out of next years ticket, they have sent a quick reply of "Hello, You can cancel your agreement once your November payment has been taken. However you will still need to pay the difference from the first season of £49. Kind regards" Not much use to the lads who paid up front, but for those who are in the position to do this, the option is there.
  18. I think the everything must go sale in January will see to that one..
