Whilst the arguments and debates will continue as to how much we have been/should be spending of the Andy Carroll if we have marked some of that for a new striker (Erdinic) and Nzogbia (even though it is only around half of what was brough in). If offloading the likes of Ranger, Routledge and Lua Lua (and getting rid of some wages for Smith) will enable us to bring in some young, talented full back potential in Neil Taylor and Clyne it will still have been a pretty successful transfer window even without a marquee signing.
The Mackems are meant to playing in Edinburgh the same day we have Fiorentina at home. Newcastle Central will be fun that day/night.
Was debating on travelling down for it, think I might just give it a miss now.
Dong-Won, Gardner, Larsson, Westwood, Wickham, Brown, O'Shea and still talk of Vaughan and Gibson.
I would be gutted if that was our signings for the summer tbh
I assume the development players will be Neil Taylor and 1 other (hopefully CB or RB cover) and this is over and above the two offensive players we are targeting. If they also take the view of signing a replacement for Enrique should he go it could still end up a decent transfer window.
I think we will only buy 1 or 2 on top of what we currently have however with speculation of so many players being shown the door or wanting away it could easily increase as a 1 in 1 out after that.

@TOONLOWDOWN Contract heavily incentivised apparently. Fairly low basic wage, but big bonuses for appearances and goals.
If Demba Ba deal is anything to go by #NUFC clearly keen to offer heavily incentivised contracts. Sensible attempt to avoid mistakes of past

@TOONLOWDOWN Don't agree. Stand by the fact targets are v. ambitious. Locals won't be out with pitchforks at my story... But it surprised me
