£35m + £5m add ons if Wissa can become 24 years old.

It won't get scrapped. It will only go if PIF take the Premier League to court and get it ruled unlawful. Its doing exactly what it was designed to do, keep the Sky 6 rich and everyone else poor.

I'm sure they're deadly afraid of that slap on the wrist and 30p fine from UEFA.

Pulled the plug on Trafford deal. Pulled the plug on Isak's new contract. Oversaw 0 first team signings in his time. Achieved nothing.

We can continue to be successful by being clever in the transfer market rather than just going for all the expensive shiny players. Until we've doped our income like Chelsea/City we won't be able to shop at the top end of the market.

I get no reaction to these tweets now We are just a fiction.

I like the sign him and sell him to Saudi when he's too decrepit to play anymore plan.

Mentioned in a few places in the last day or so but https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/07/21/newcastle-nightmare-transfer-window-reasons/ https://sports.yahoo.com/article/summer-setbacks-raises-questions-over-092000551.html

Hard to say, but the rumours are a deal was agreed last year and Mitchell (crowd boos) pulled the plug on the deal and we've not sealed the deal this summer.
-
If it didn't work, it wasn't right. This isn't missing out on one or two targets. Its missing out on all of them bar Elanga who is a rung below the level of the other players we've been targeting.
-
If Chalobah is a realistic transfer target then we're cooked.

Being as kind as I can, the current recruitment team we have are at best naive and at worst incompetent at bringing in new players. We should do our best to keep the elite players we actually have.
-
Ok let me spell it out for you then: We have some elite players. The Sky 6 want all our elite players. They are using the media to unsettle our elite players. Players like Tino have improved vastly since we signed them on their original contract terms and is now a star PL player and a star England player. Man City will offer him far advanced contract terms and we need to be able to match that to thwart off their advances. We can't just keep players on their original terms and expect no issues when other clubs are telling their agent how they're going to triple/quadruple their wages. Part of the reason the Isak situation is the way it is right now is because we broke his trust over a new contract on vastly improved terms.

You been living under a rock for the past month?

Say the line N-O "It's only 20th July"
-
The lesson we have to learn is that if we want to shop at the top table, we have to be wiling to pay what the selling club wants. Haggle and another club will be in there getting the deal done.

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)
Skeletor replied to Miggys First Goal's topic in Football
Reckon we'll revisit this once its clear Liverpool's noise was just an Isak negotiation tactic and they have no intention of buying Ekitike.
