  1. You're trying to change history, yet again. I asked you about your season ticket before you mentioned when you had it. Here's the sequence of posts to make it easy for you. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=36936.msg734382#msg734382 http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=36936.msg734417#msg734417 http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=36936.msg734554#msg734554 http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=36936.msg734558#msg734558 http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=36936.msg734561#msg734561 http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=36936.msg734744#msg734744 You should use your head before your fingers, your desperation to prove a point just makes you look stupid, again. I said I was behind the Gallowgate goal when he scored against Chelsea in 1969. It is clear to anyone, well almost anyone, that this is before I moved into the paddock when I bought a season ticket for that area. Have you commented yet on how we achieved all those piss poor league positions, in the 2nd division or fighting relegation for the vast majority of the time, for 30 years prior to the current board taking over the club ? You're commenting on a post where I said you'd just tried to change history and you've done the same thing in your reply, I've no intention of trying to comment on how we achieved those piss poor league positions and I wasn't asked to until now, you've obviously seen the answer eventually so have now changed the question. I said they were crap and that's a good enough answer as far as I'm concerned. Lets see now. 1. We bought Tommy Gibb in 1968-69, I said I saw him score in the gallowgate goal against Chelsea, standing behind that goal 2. During his time time here, which was 5-6 years from 1968-69, I moved to the centre paddock because I bought a season ticket. 3. In between those 2 periods, I stood in the corner, for one, two, three matches or whatever, where the flag was, and saw him put two fingers up to peope in the corner who were giving him stick [but not me]. Pretty straightforward to me. Whats your problem ? As it will be to most people.
  2. That looks better, we'd still need one more though.
  3. Clearly you aren't aware that we've gone for and employed top managers in fairly recent times, then.
  4. He was very naive in his tactics yesterday, he put far too many attacking players out. Still though... * 1 x Champions League: 1994/1995 * 1 x Intercontinental Cup: 1994/1995 * 1 x UEFA Cup: 1991/1992 * 2 x European Supercup: 1995/1996, 1997/1998 * 3 x Dutch Eredivisie: 1993/1994, 1994/1995, 1995/1996 * 1 x Dutch Cup: 1992/1993 * 3 x Dutch Super Cup: 1993/1994, 1994/1995, 1995/1996 * 2 x Spanish League: 1997/1998, 1998/1999 * 1 x Spanish Cup: 1997/1998 All done with sexy football. That's the past. Doesn't count.
  5. Get used to it. There are a lot of people on here who have their favourites and can't stand even the slightest bit of criticism of those players.
  6. Completely agree, it was a waste of time bringing him on with Sibierski making way. Nobody to cross to. I'm not sure that he will work with Martins/Owen up front and I don't think he is good enough a footballer to be picked ahead of the likes of Dyer/Solano if we want to play a rhythmic passing game. Just doesn't have the brain to offer enough play on the deck and constantly goes for the byline and attempts the cross. I still have serious doubts about his future here, but I do think he would be invaluable in a line-up that was heavily based around wing-play and with two strikers who are top-class in the air. There are certain games which are made for Milner, but he's definitely not someone I can see being a first-choice player at NUFC for a long time yet, unless we continue to suffer at the hands of the God of injuries. Needs a massive improvement if he's ever going to keep Dyer out of the team on the right-flank. I thought Dyer was superb there against AZ. That post sums it up pretty well for me.
  7. I don't doubt for a second that Gibbo flicked the Gallowgate. I also don't doubt for a second that the flat-cappers in the Centre Paddock moaned like hell. I didn't see the Gibbo incident. I f I was there I'd have been in the Leazes End. The reasosn I raised him as an example was to try and show that there have always been moaners. I'd been struggling to think of other examples, but Gowling springs to mind. He wasn't Supermac, he ran funny, so he moaned at whatever he did wrong. That he was leadign scorer at the time didn't seem to matter. The whole suggestion that the place is currently full of moaners, as if this has just happened, can only come from someone who is selectively choosing their memories Care to post where I said moaning has just happened?
  8. That would do it. Just make sure though that you only use the ratings posted by people who were at the match. I'm sure some people post ratings based on comment by Sky TV "experts" and/or Talksport 15 second updates broadcast every 20 minutes.
  9. Aye. They were both daft goals to concede and they'll be costly imo.
  10. Old? Blimey. I don't consider myself to be old, man. I'm only in my 40's ffs.
  11. If that's the case, can we get rid of the sort of people who I was sitting amongst last night, as well? Offer nowt to the club bar their cash. Aye, absolutely. "Supporters" who do nowt but moan and don't support can all piss off as far as I'm concerned. Grassroots might tell you about some tirade I went into a while ago after we played Wolves about people who boo at the match. Gets on my bloody wick. I may criticise certain individuals here but at the match you support the team and all of the players and that's the end of it. If, as HTT suggests, we didn't need the money from these clowns - I'd happily see the back of them all, as well. HTL, if everyone on here thinks you're that bad, then I'll implore them to sit in Row J seat 50 of the Leazes End once a season. If people like that posted on here, THEN we'd see some arguing. Eh? Do people think I'm bad? You have to remember, those on here who don't like me are people whose opinion I don't give a toss about anyway.
  12. The club would go bust without them tbh, can't have it both ways. No, there are lots of 'new' supporters who aren't bandwagon jumpers. I'm not on about them. As I've said before, the bandwagon jumper is the older type who could have gone when we were shit but didn't bother, even though they could have gone. A lot of these people laughed at the hardcore supporters who 'wasted their money watching that shit' but when it all kicked off under KK they suddenly became lifelong supporters again. These are the type the club can easily live without, these are the moaning twats who didn't go when attendances were down to 15,000, coming out of the woodwork when we had a cup run or something. They've continued going to matches because in fact we aren't as crap as people like to say we are AND they know that the board will try to improve the team by backing the manager to the best of their ability. Something that should not be taken for granted because they do not have to do it. When a club/team is really crap AND a board is seen to not have ambition to improve and challenge, attendances drop. They haven't dropped and if the moaning bandwagon jumpers buggered off attendances wouldn't drop because better people would take their place.

  14. Getting back to the earlier point about bandwagon jumpers. I wish they would all fĂșck off back to their Saturday afternoon shopping and taking the piss out of Newcastle supporters. The club doesn't need them and nobody gives a s*** what they think anyway.
  15. I think they showed at 3-0 down that us scoring the first goal over there won't kill the tie. They can beat us 3-1, they can beat us 2-0. Those 2 daft goals we conceded are killers. Just how was that two daft goals? First one was an excellent move and a brilliant finish from them, the second was just unlucky, Taylor clearly held his hand as close to his body as possible and can't be blamed for that penalty. Taylor lost his man and was ball watching for the first goal, sod the good move business, he should have done better. For the second he was too far away from his man again, he should have been closer. I think it was Butt that was tracking him then let him arrive in the box late, not Taylor Taylor was ball watching not 2 feet away in actual fact. When a player arrives in the box late like he did there it's up to a midfielder to track him, Butt was doing this up unitl the point where he decided to charge towards the ball. And Bramble was right next to the guy, much closer than Taylor, why is no one blaming him? Maybe that's because Bramble was marking someone, Taylor was doing nowt.

  17. Haven't noticed much criticism from NE5 toward Parka, tbh. I think only a few have never rated him, myself and CG are two for example.
  18. It was given because although he had his hands down he was too far away from the player, the ref would have judged he had time to get his hand out of the way. He should have been closer.

  21. Haven't read the thread, don't have time. Two stupid goals conceded by mistakes by Taylor I predict will cost us the tie because they can beat us 2-0 over there. Well done Bramble. Had a really good game. Good job he didn't do what Taylor managed, otherwise we'd be on page 100 by now.

    Nicky Butt

How have you worked that one out then? enlighten me? It's called blinkers. Parka is his favourite player and is after all, (stand up please) .... Our Captain. The fact he has very limited ability and can partner nobody else in CM successfully doesn't enter into it for some.
  23. Yup, as I said earlier. But NE5 also touched on what's happening. If it was pay at the turnstiles and not season tickets we wouldn't be seeing 50K+ crowds. Lot's of people would have already jumped off the bandwagon but at least the ground would have real supporters in there.
