So you thought Zog was better than Parker?? Whilst i dont always agree with my fellow Gallowgate ender NSG, today i agree that Parker was fecking tripe. As per. Blimey! Agreed. I think Parker is probably the biggest single problem in the team. He's absolutely gash, whenever he plays there is just no creativity at all. It's been obvious for ages he can't combine well with Emre, a creative player. People are now also seeing he can't combine well with Butt, a defensive player. Who the hell can Parker combine well with? People are now suggesting Dyer. What I can't get my head around is why on earth are people intent on suggesting option after option to combine with Parker? Just get shot of the usesless t***. I think the real problem is Glenn Roeder And one more thing... If Parker had scored that header in the 89th minute you and all Parker's haters probably would say how important he is to the team I cant understand why people are putting all the fault at him I think today he played solid,nothing spectacular but not as s*** as some of you are trying to make of him I wonder why do you blame always Parker and you dont say anything about Nicky Butt who imo has been average in most of the games he played with Parker You blame our captain and you dont say anything about the player who this time last year most of you wanted death Its just shows how quick peoples opinions can change here... By the way, suggesting somebody would change their view of a footballer based on one incident is stupid, even if he had the odd good 90 minutes it wouldn't deflect from the fact that he's normally not good enough. Ok Jesus Christ... what the hell do you want as your third/fourth choice striker? Ameobi is a more than capable player. He's not brilliant, certainly not worthy of starting as many games as he has done over the past couple of years, but he's got good enough ability to be a back-up striker when needed. Better than a lot of 3rd/4th choice strikers in the Premiership. PS... I'm assuming that your reply was like a sarcastic one, otherwise i've gone off on one for no reason. And, to your laughing emoticon regarding the number of strikers. Obafemi Martins Michael Owen Kieron Dyer Shola Ameobi Antoine Sibierski And Andrew Carroll, who you would feel Roeder sees something in, because he wouldn't have made the squad this many times - despite injuries. Plus, Duff, Emre, Milner can all play an advanced role. Luque will probably still be here aswell. We're bound to get injuries, but if they're on the scale as what we've witnessed this season, it'll be a big coincidence. The "ok" to Ally was an acknowledgement of his opinion. I want us to get a striker, i just don't want us to spend multitudes of cash on one because we don't need to. Owen, Martins, Carroll, Ameobi, Sibierski (and we might buy another in the summer). That's 5. Maths not your strongest subject? Erm. Carr, Bramble, Ramage, Moore, Babayaro, Taylor, Edgar, Huntingdon, Solano and Gooch on loan. That's 10 defenders and there are probably more on the way. Scoring goals is the most difficult thing to do in football and we need more than two strikers who can either score goals or who can infuence the play and create goals for others in the team. Without both Owen and Martins we are knackered. With everyone else fit we can get by even with Carr, Bramble, Moore, Babayaro across the back and we wouldn't be relegated next season. Without Owen and Martins we will struggle for goals and could go down no matter who is across the back four. That's a serious response to your slightly sarcastic post by the way. I wonder if you might be able to debate the point I'm making, perhaps you can tell me why you think we'd score goals with say, a striking partnership of Carroll and Sibierski? This is entirely possible as all it would need right now would be an injury to Martins.

Not bullshit Pretty accurate. The hip is less of a concern than the knee. The hope is that it can be managed like Paul McGrath managed his dodgy knees but there's no great optimism. But as others have said, he's enjoyed some highs in his career and earned a lot of money in that time. Whilst I have sympathy for Ledders, I've got more sympathy for Dorian Dervite who was better than Ledley at the same age, is having his knee rebuilt following a bad cruciate and it's only 50/50 whether he plays again. He hasn't had any career nor the money to fall back on either. mackems.gif

Can't be. For those pushing Dyer for CM. True enough that he's better than the average parka but he's not good enough in that role for where we want to be. Not good enough in any role tbh. N'Zogbia has been pretty s*** this season (remember he only got injured in December, had Aug-Dec playing), but I hope thats just a case of 2nd season syndrome as we all saw how good he can be last year. I think it is 2nd season syndrome, but he's a potential player. Like you I hope he makes it.

Its not so much the word thats the problem but the manner in which its used, If Emre said what has been reported then he's bang out of order and deserves to be punished. why is he out of order? The only waves that may need smoothing over is with the arseholes who fell for the souness propaganda, but the reality is they don't matter anyway. Anyone with a brain knows he is a top footballer and that's what matters.

I'm with SLK on this one. Bramble isn't great, he makes mistakes as we all know, but to say Ramage is better than him is a joke imo. I see more potential in Huntingdon and Edgar. Ramage should definitely be moved on in the summer and shouldn't get anywhere near our first team in the meantime. He's out of his depth in the PL. For me, Taylor is actually making errors the same as Bramble is, but of course he's younger and has potential BUT he has to realise that potential and he has to cut out those errors, if he doesn't then in the end Taylor will be no better than Bramble. I think we need a Venison type figure at the back to help both Taylor AND Bramble, plus Huntingdon and Edgar but Ramage is beyond any help. Anton bloody Ferdinand is clearly not that figure, there is no way the club should be spending money on crap like him.
