Absolutely. I've maintained all through the season that we've got some very good squad players here; some very good individuals. If Nobby and Dyer were still here, we'd probably be fairly safely in mid-table, and they were hardly 'massive' players - they're were just key. Our key players this season have been: Butt? Owen? 3 or 4 new first teamers and i'd be very happy tbh. We'll be bringing in plenty of youngsters as the year develops anyhow. If Nobby and Dyer could have got us into mid-table. Two top quality players could get us into the top 8 imo. Solano is past his best (albeit still a good player) and Dyer is fucking shite. Doubt they'd have made us mid-table

Sounds like Terry Mac has pissed Lee Clark and Roeder off!

Jesus christ Arsenal, sort it out!

Birmingham score. Bad day so far.

What ever happened to Freddy Adu? Probably celebrating his 30th birthday now.

To be fair, getting 100 caps is a pretty rare achievement. Its not as if it happens to everyone is it? Agree with Alex's post aswell btw.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nottinghamshire/7318218.stm A man bidding to buy Mansfield Town is planning to rename the club Harchester United after the former Sky series The Dream Team, the BBC has learnt. John Batchelor, former owner of York City, submitted a bid to majority shareholder Keith Haslam on Wednesday. Producers of the Sky series confirmed Mr Batchelor had made an approach to use the name. It is understood the racing car enthusiast also plans to use actors from the television series at the club. Mr Batchelor said: "Football supporters in general have to understand that if they want professional football in their town, they have to accept it has to be done on a commercial basis. "Harchester is more promotable than Mansfield. That's not any form of insult to Mansfield at all because it's a club with a long tradition but it's just a fact of life. "One club has been on the television for 10 years and the other one hasn't." The businessman changed York City's name to York City Soccer Club when he was at Bootham Crescent to attract American interest. Mansfield are currently second from bottom in the Football League. Mr Batchelor was initially part of a consortium before deciding to bid for the struggling League Two club on his own. The club has undergone a name change once before - from Mansfield Wesleyans to Mansfield Town in 1910.

I like N'Zogbia but I think he's extremely overrated by some on here. I'd much rather see us flog Milner.
-
I think he'll score shit loads in Divison 1 tbh. He's scored a fair few at Premier League level and of course in the Champions League. If the likes of Chopra, Rasiak, Kamara and Earnshaw can score boat loads in Div1 then Shola is on to a winner.
-
How much longer has he got on his contract? Needs to move on for his own sake, but he's not half as bad as he's made out to be.
-
If we sold him (through choice) we'd struggle to find anyone better if you ask me.
-
What about Shearer 97/98? Like Owen, had just came back from main injuries, like Owen, was playing in a sh*t Newcastle side, and scored 2 league goals in about 18-20 games. Don't remember Shearer getting the same criticism. Good point. Shearer scored about 30 the year after.

Needs to stop seeing the halfway line as a brick wall, other than that its good

Whipped off early. The last two games he's played about 80 minutes and 75, can hardly complain.

OH MY GOD. Only 1 hour to go until super duper Sunday!!

I should be employed shouting from the bench - I'd then contribute the same as Terry Mac. I noticed yesterday Keegan was shouting something to Barton and was doing some hand actions. Terry Mac came up and stood behind him and just copied him to try and look good, was rather amusing. Reminds me of this classic sketch from Chewin' The Fat on BBC Scotland: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPWNooQIfwU Exactly like that.

Taylor seemed to take a few of them away too.

Only time i've left early is WBA in the cup a few years ago. We gambled on it not going to extra time as the car park we were using closed at 10pm so if we'd stayed the full 120 minutes we'd have been walking home!
-
Aye exactly, Barton and Geremi were getting stretched a bit too much. Made perfect sense, the boos were embarrasing.

Premiership clubs shouldn't be allowed to loan from each other anyway.
-
I like it. He got in some good positions today when you could tell he was dying to play a through ball but realistically knew that Viduka wouldn't have got on the end of it.

Keegan looks a bit, erm, special in that photo.
