Getting sick of hearing about this transfer committee. Surely such a thing exists everywhere? Manager, scout, head of recruitment, MD/Owner etc. I'd be amazed If there is any PL club whose manager goes out and buys the players he wants like he's playing Football Manager
-
Just a shame the player he threatened to be in 2003/2004 never really took off. England top scorer and within reach of Man utd's - he's been an excellent player but thought we had an absolute superstar on our hands then
-
Why? Think he'd do well myself
-
Tabloids getting excited by the Dick Pulls Out headlines
-
It's so irritating isn't it. It's like hes still in Holland and talks really slowly so people understand
-
I like Pearson to be fair. Except for when he did us all out of hundreds of pounds, the cunt
-
I'm curious to see how Lee Ryder has been doing that job for 10 years
-
Read earlier this was a good Colo TV performance Poor defending all round for Willian's goal and that header shortly after. Just basic organisation and marking
-
Thought he played well last night, if we're playing 4-4-2 though he needs some definition to his role. Holding, box to box, attacking? Granted he's not great at either but we need something
-
Exactly. At least when Cabaye wanted to leave between August and January he played well, won games for us and as a consequence put himself in the shop window.
-
We are scarily close to playing Williamson again
-
We have so many players who lack a defined position. Sissoko, Perez, Wijnaldum, Colback, Thauvin to name just 5. Each or those could cause a debate over what their best position is. We seem to have signed loads of players and then try to fit round fucking 4231 rather than the other way round
-
Then sell 1-2 a season for decent money and you've got round FFP
-
Perez will leave us to better things one day. But fucking Spurs?! I hope the only contact involved the words fuck and off
-
McClaren was definitely a build from the back kind of manager when at Boro. To be fair, given our defensive displays in recent years he would be daft not to
-
Without reading any of this thread, the BT sport commentary was absolutely dreadful today. Glenn Hoddle made some interesting comments but Ian Darke and Robbie fucking Savage were beyond poor. Desperate for Arsenal to win and constantly making digs at our fans for having the cheek to back the team
-
Basically just tweeted this The ball was there a fraction before which he clearly went for
-
Really like the look of Gini, quick feet, great movement and actual ability with a football. Revolutionary compared to some of our recent lot
-
Mcclaren still sounds like he's talking to foreign journalists in his press conferences. Short sentences, big pauses etc. very strange!
-
Didn't McClaren lose his first 4 games as Boro manager?
-
Way more than 25 yards, was absolutely miles out!
-
In confident De Jong will come good if he stays fit. Saw him a fair bit at Ajax and thought he was class. Only played a handful of games for us but the goal he scored at the end of last season shows his composure and technique. He'll get eased in, he played what 4 games in all of last year?
-
Not seen the game but so good to hear Gouffran and Williamson were no where near things.
-
6 years, unbelievable. A true legend
-
It's probably more to do with the fact that nobody else wants them. surely they have their level somewhere? Ligue 3?
