Exactly. No-one is saying you can't make a judgment on a player you haven't seen in the flesh though. I think Ronaldinho is absolutely superb, never seen him play in person. BUT, in the case of Alberto fecking Luque, the 'armchair' fan has not seen what others see, fact.

For fucks sake. Just because you've never been to a football match doesn't mean you have to show us how much you love Eurosport.

He's that Mackem in the '52,000' thread yesterday.

Its true! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/wolverhampton_wanderers/6244319.stm

Because our midfielders are fucking shite, probably. Never seen him play, meant to be good though.
-
I don't even remember him being any good a few years ago tbh. Was pretty shit on Saturday.

Just got this email from the University: 'Exciting international game'

I've always quite liked Maccarone, not worth £8m but a decent player. Couldn't be arsed reading all that though.

Its really easy to get tickets for the cup games, you probably won't be able to just turn up at the Liverpool or Boro games without a ticket though, but a certain number will go on general sale just before.

Quashie has played for fucking loads of clubs, hops around like anything.

Why not now, is what i can't understand. He's clearly incapable of filling in if we ever get multiple injuries - so we should just promote him to that coach role, something that we had always intended to do so in the long term. If we ever have another major injury crisis, just loan someone, like many clubs have done so in the past. But the possible keepers we could loan are absolute dogshit, look at Kiraly at Villa. We might even be lucky enough to witness the glory of Sander Westerveld.

Alan Oliver: What a load of shite! Thought Martins was good, should have scored but he scared the hell out of their defence. Pattison was awful, how he can say there was 'nothing wrong' with that is beyond me.
-
Its on tele aswell, expect about 30,000 there.

Sheffield United have won more games than Villa this season, fact.
-
The whole team acknowledged us, but the majority of them just did a little clap about waist height, then put their head down and walked off.
-
Was class at Man City, doesn't even look half that player now.

Wenger is very good at getting rid of players before they become a burden. Absolutely spot on Parky lad. Thats what would put me off Lauren too. And Big Sol Aye but how many seasons will Campbell play for now? one more at this level? and has Wenger missed him? Not a bit. Campbell's responded well to Harrys man management but he won't have the legs to play on. Hence he's virtually finished. There aren't many players who Wengers let go that have gone on to produce better form for more than one season. Jeffers Petit Overmars Silvinho Pires (granted he's fucked) Winterburn Anelka The list goes on and on. Hence the reason I wouldn't be too keen to take Ljungberg or Lauren. Wrong. Arsenal have been terrible at the back at times this season. However, Sol and Gallas would have been amazing together. Think Arsenal's defence has been quality, even more so when Gallas plays. Toure is one of the most under-rated players about, absolutely immense defender. Totally agree and for the same weekly wage as Campbell Arsenal now have a stronger squad (Since buying Rosicky, Hleb are probably on about £40k a week and Sol was on a minimum of £80k). Wenger and Ferguson are normally spot on when it comes to getting rid of players just in time. Vieira has not produced his Arsenal form for Inter and he'll be finished (Certainly in his current position) in a couple of years. Arsenal got good dollar at the right time. IMO Wenger is the best Manager (given the size and spending power of Arsenal when he took them over) in the Premiership and his speciality is buying at low cost and selling when the same players have maximum value. The only exception to this seems to have been Henry. I doubt they'll ever get an offer like the £30m Barca were going to pay for him again. He won't be getting rid of Ljungberg if he's got 2 decent seasons left in him. Aye agree completely, Wenger is top notch.

Some of the banter between those 2 has been appaling.

Class player, as is Lauren.

We have a replay, so all that counts for absolutely nothing. They had ten men for the second half and they're from a lower division, we should be dominating them. The first half was the opposite, but for Taylor somehow clearing off the line, we could have gone in dead and buried. I'd be livid if we threw the lead away against 10 man Chelsea or 10 man Man Utd with 5 minutes to go, never mind sodding Birmingham. Oh aye i'm not happy we threw away the lead, but its the way people are going on about it being a disgusting performance, which it quite simply wasn't.

Is someone pointing a gun to your bollocks or something? Coming from someone who doesn't go to the games, I find that a pretty ridiculous statement tbh. FFS maybe the club should just be allowed to charge what they like. A grand a game, would that be acceptable to you? Probably, seeing as you don't pay it. Nobody is forcing you to go. So just shut it, you silly tart. You should be happy that you've got enough time and cash to follow the Toon. I haven't, but I do. No-one forces me to buy milk either, should supermarkets be allowed to sell it for a tenner a bottle? No-one forces me to buy petrol, should they be allowed to charge £15 a litre? Christ Wullie who pissed on your chips tonight?!

I know what a bunch of tossers! The bloke on the front row of the tier above us kept leaning over towards us and screaming abuse. If you even turned round he'd try and spit on you and call you every name under the sun. Lovely man.
