  1. Voted Zog + Jonas myself ideally. BUT!!! Hasn't anyone at NUFC coaching staff noticed the Geremi/Owen cross-finish combination?? I'd like to see Geremi play at home a bit more, and since Shola's being used as the big man, he could float in a few beauties for him I'm sure.
  2. I think because everyone can see what a truly quality player he is, people always have hope that his day will come. I think with old charlie you can tell that he's not a no-mark player in terms of talent and physical ability. Milner's problem was his pace, and that's something you can't change.
  3. Personally I'd like to see him up front as a striker. He has a ferocious turn of pace and the boy can finish! Reminds me so much of Monaco's Thierry Henry.
  4. Surely can't be his fault, must be every manager who he has ever worked under who has the problem. Except for SBR. As I've always maintained, this was SBR's last gift to NUFC, and unfortunately we won't be seeing the best of this fella. One of the best players at the club. With the right manager in charge of a stable club he will flourish. Would loathe to lose him to Wenger because I know the kind of player he would turn him into. Good luck to him whatever happens
  5. I would say the ENTIRE back 4 were magnificent! But the man who led the team today stood out by miles imo. Arise Sir Danny of Guthrieshire. For his age and relative inexperience, he did his and Butt's job heroically. Butt wasn't half bad either bar the usual hairy moments. Defensively the other 4 were spot on, but attacking wise Jonas, Duff, Martins (Ameobi) and Owen were woeful. Ameobi actually caused their lot more problems than Martins and Owen did all night. Proud of the lads. Bring on the filthy smogs
  6. If Jonas is afforded a place in your sig, then I think it's blasphemous that Nile the Danger Ranger isn't there. Hang your head in shame lad.
  7. Ruben Sosa was a Uruguay international iirc. Spent time at Inter. Little fella he was
  8. Agreed. Rather have Ashley in charge than anyone from overseas
  9. class i agree btw, even if the thread is slightly shit
  10. A sad fact as well Dave is that if it wasn't for Keegan in some way, a lot of the nimrods on here wouldn't even support Newcastle United. If Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End hadnt of merged there wouldnt be a Newcastle United no one would support them, who cares? Ignorant as f***. Its not ignorance. Everyone knows what Keegan has done for this club in his 1st spell as manager here, everyone knows he played a huge part in making the club as big as it is today and yes that plays a part in people outside of Newcastle currently supporting them, but what was the purpose in pointing that out as if those people have zero respect for the man and dont give him enough credit? a rather large chip on Tooj's shoulder gets him talking shit sometimes
  11. Yeah, they just need one inept managerial appointment and to sell Kaka and then they'll have a fall from grace to rival ours. Many do not agree with me, but I think Kaka is the most overrated "superstar" footballer in the world. Good football player, but he has fallen of a whole lot since last year, he isnt as good as before, at the same time i think one of the reasons is that he hasnt got the freedom to play his game anymore as he gets targeted by two defending players each game. EDIT: i hate Totti so much i cant put words to it, what a f***ing diving c***, meh Sure he is a good footballer. I just don't think he's anywhere near as good as he's made out to be.

  13. watched AC Milan today. Absolutely RIVETING stuff not....
  14. I've shit the bed thinking about him here
  15. is exactly what I'm saying! wow HTT we agree for once!!
  16. Think your being a bit harsh on grant there. People keep harping on about his Chelsea days but you've got to remember he's been a manager since 1980-odd. He turneed Hapoel Tikva from minows into title contenders, breaking the dominance the Maccabi clubs had on the Israeli league. He later managed both of the Maccabi clubs with a fair bit of success. People will judge him on his short spell with Chelsea but its worth noting the man has put a hell of a lot into Israeli football. so? it means nowt Aye, twenty-odd years in professional football management counts for nothing. I'm pretty sure there are other managers in other random European minnow leagues who have 20 odd years in football management (say in norway, sweden, cyprus, poland, bulgaria, etc...) Why go for someone who's done it in Israel and not someone who's been managing for quite some time say in Holland or Germany or France? Would you take Christian Gross as manager for example? What about Jacques Santini? Guy Roux maybe? I love it when an argument gets blown out of all proportion. I wasn't saying just because he has a good record in Israel we should appoint him. I was simply saying it is worth pointing out he has that experience in his favour. Fair enough. But so do Barry Fry, Bryan Robson, Terry Venables, Tony Pulis and Joe Kinnear! Just to clarify, it's not ONLY Grant's record that puts me off him, it's also his zero personality. He would not be able to handle the club in the state it's in.
  17. He'd probs be s*** if he was here. Such is the state of the club. Keegan wanted him, didn't get him, dunno why. Did he want him? Why was he at the club on trial if Wise and co had no intention of sanctioning a move for him?
