He seems a canny lad like, but as a footballer he's fucking woeful and I'll be glad to see the back of him.

What we've watched at St James' this season could not possibly be confused with entertainment, but Rafa has once again played his hand to perfection and got the job done.
-
Absolute genius to get this squad promoted. Now get your hand in your pocket you fat bastard!
-
like that. So will Preston's right wing.

Rafa is a patient man. But the nature of that equaliser against Leeds will have driven him f***ing spare. Maybe he decided to give it both barrels, though that's not his style. Usually he cuts players dead who won't learn or won't do a job. Maybe that's why Mitro was benched? How was Mitro to blame for the Leeds goal by the way? He comes steaming out at a hundred miles an hour to the bloke with the bandaged head, who beats him easily, and finds space for the pass. If Mitro doesn't dive in, holds him up or jockeys him there, that pass isn't on. He has to cut back inside and launch it in himself or go wide. He's a striker. The blame lies with the defence 100%. Defend from the front! Another skill Mitrovic is crap at! Hang on, so he's to blame for the goal even though he was the furthest forward, 3 players let the cross actually come in and 2 centre backs ignored the runner? There's an agenda right there. Do you disagree with the main point? Watching Mitro "close down" is a joke. Gayle does 3 times the amount of defending Mitro manages. Well, he is 3 times quicker than him.

Perhaps Rafa will make a change after today's performance? Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

The problem is however that this goes beyond purely today's game and there's a more valid criticism of the way we've been playing for months now, even though you've been insisting on here that we've been playing well. Our modus operandi is attempting to grind out narrow results, in a way that more often than not has had me either bored fucking shitless or frustrated and on the edge of my seat. There's only so much you can do with a rigid system lacking width or movement, and relying on a prolific striker and a watertight defence. This has finally blown up in our faces as the pressure of the season has cranked up, but honestly it's been threatening for a while. There's an argument to be made that we lack the personnel to play a more expansive way, and I am inclined to agree with that, as I posted on here a couple of weeks ago. I don't however think that a rigid 4-2-3-1 is the ONLY fucking option we have. Rafa has been taking the piss with his stubbornness and way of playing and honestly if we do end up not going up there has to be serious questions asked of his position. That said, that's IF we don't go up. Rafa is stealing his wage at this moment in time. Agree with pretty much all that was posted. The football is shite and now results are matching performance. That was embarrassing today. Give it a rest man! Name another manager who would have had this squad promoted this season?

That's not what he gets paid for though is it, smart arse? Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

We didn't go negative last night, I don't know what you were watching if you think that we did. We paid for not being able to finish them off but we were at them until the end of the game. f***ing about near the corner flag is now deemed as "at them"? Aye because teams winning by a single goal never take it to the corner flag do they? Proper defensive tactics. Of course, but call it what it was, a piss poor attempt at "managing" the game out!

He doesn't attack the ball in the air because he can't run and he can't jump! Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Spot on! Even the fat twat who ran in the pitch at the end showed more pace than Mitro, and a lot more physicality.

Consistently poor distribution from Darlow this season is costing us momentum and points. Again, tonight he didn't have the confidence to kick or throw quickly to get us back on the attack, and on the one occasion when he did kick quickly, at the behest of the crowd, he skewed it embarrassingly off target. Elliott a much better option for me, but I don't think Rafa will change at this stage of the season.
-
Very surprised to read that. Dunk is obviously a very solid player but I thought Mitro held his own generally. Doesn't Dunk play for Brighton?
-
I thought he was outstanding you don't, no biggy. Certainly outstanding in comparison to the other options!
-
I thought their centre half absolutely dominated Mitro, so much so that he resorted to his embarrassing play acting.
-
Plays the percentages and, inevitably, sometimes gets it wrong, but still amazing that he's getting this squad promoted.
-
Why was he taken off for Jog back tonight? Cost us dearly!
-
Watching him live must make a huge difference because, seriously, he's the most un-athletic professional footballer I've ever seen. He makes Mickey Quinn look quick!
-
Slow as a boat and with the striking instincts of a sloth! Be glad to see the back of him!
-
A timely return to form from Mitrovic would be perfect like. Please remind me when he's actually been in form?
-
Because he's shite and can't cross a ball. Bit harsh! More likely that he can't defend, or not as effectively as Gouffran.
-
Him, and his "team", should never officiate a professional game ever again after their inept performance last night! It did make for an amazing atmosphere though.
