Rather see 3 at the back, two wing backs, Yedlin and the Chelsea loanee, 3 in midfield, Ritchie as #10 and Gayle or Joselu. Ritchie's energy to close down alongside Gayle much more preferable to Perez's prancing around. We need our full squad, fit and available, to make this work though.
-
Aye, if that fails we will be adrift at the bottom of the league. Drop Perez now! He gives us very little going forward and his closing down, work rate and ability to keep possession are abysmal.
-
Him and Shelvey, surely.

Mitro is not "decent" in the air, like.
-
It's not, he's replacing Murphy. That's clear as day. In our striking pecking order, he will go above Mitro. That's clear as day!
-
Must be an upgrade on Mitro and, hopefully, his replacement.
-
Same here, but I'll have a £640 season ticket I'll want to ram up the fat bastard's arse!

This is a key bit from the Hardy article. Has he been told to wait for this money to be deposited? Please tell me that this is what is being implied?! It's our only hope man. That doesn't make any sense man. They've got access to the money or can make assurances to make signings now. They just seem determined not to pay the going rate.
-
Show me where I've advocated any support for the long ball game. If Atsu plays all season with either Anita or Yedlin at full back then we'll be in for a long long season. People have either not been to the actual games or played to any standard if they can't or simply don't want to understand my point. Either way looks like he's signing so we'll see. In Rafa we trust.

Benitez was handed an £8.5m payout when he was sacked by Real Madrid last year and, under terms of his severance, also landed a £500,000 bonus when the club won the Champions League under Zinedine Zidane. Added to the estimate £1m he earned at Newcastle, despite failing to keep them up, Rafa earned a very tidy £10m despite being sacked and relegated in the space of a few months. Suck on that Adrian Durham! Tosser!

Wonderful, wonderful day. You couldn't have scripted it better. The reaction to Gayle's goal followed immediately by the reaction to Villa's equaliser was special.
-
Can only remember 3 or 4 home games that I really enjoyed, the rest have been nervy, dull, turgid affairs. Thank Rafa for our away form though.
-
The football was certainly "functional" at the expense of entertaining, and I'll be more than happy with more of the same in the Premiership. It'll be refreshing to look forward to games against the better sides not expecting a Pardewesque 3 or 4 goal drubbing.
-
CB: Shawcross, Yoshida, Maguire LB: Gibbs RB: Jenkinson, Naughton CM: McArthur, Morrison LW: Sako RW: Mirallas, Lennon CAM: Barkley? CF: Gray, Hernandez, Ulloa That's a very unexciting list. Hopefully Rafa'll have some better foreign options lined up.

Who else would you want spending your money Ashley?
-
Some people going overboard regarding a good performance against a bottom half Championship club with nowt to play for!
-
I don't think he's shit though. He needs to be more of a goal threat for sure. You don't think a striker's shit, but in the next breath you say he should be more of goal threat. Laughable would be too kind!

Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC

No surprise that it's us and West Ham raided, one owned by a barrow boy made good and the other by a couple of porn magnates. Once a scrote always a scrote! -

I want to see the pictures of Penfold led away in handcuffs. -

I reckon folk will have been paying a lot of attention to Ashley for a while and I can imagine the authorities have been going through his finances with a fine tooth comb for some time in an effort to bring him down. Hopefully, the catalyst that will make him sell the club? -
I'd be happy with a Qatari zillionaire who would be happy to donate an oil well or two to the cause.
