  1. You know, I said during the early stages that he was a suerb defender. I can recognise that he has dropped some terrible clangers but the way he has been villified has been way over the top imo. People on radio stations saying he is the worst player they have ever seen etc is a load of bullshit for a start. I still reckon he would be class in a good team.
  2. Reckon loads of people will be at the printing places getting red lettering put on the backs of their shirts in the summer Go on toonlass, get the petition going for red numbers, then take it to Llambias's office. Cheers.
  3. Or even more so an old Newcastle one, no!?!?
  4. Its to do with the sponsor changing like they did in the early nineties. Must be the third time this has been said in this thread From now on we should just make up reasons why its changing. Something related to the 118th year anniversary of the club and going back to red and white stripes. No, dan b, you are not understanding me, its because the sponsor is changing.
  5. Im sure Liverpool has had red names and numbers on their away strips too.
  6. Its to do with the sponsor changing like they did in the early nineties.
  7. Blackburn when they won the league for one. SHEARER 9 Looked class in red.
  8. Well, its better than the current kit. But as always they never come out with a totally new design, they always just do crappy little updates. I like the retro 80's Umbro collar, that is class. I hate the rest of it though, it would look better if the badge and adidas logo were on white rater than black. I think the back will look OK IF THEY USE THE RED LETTERS ON THE BACK. Bet they wont though, c***s.
  9. People keep going on about this, (including the media) about how the north east is all of a sudden not a hotbed of football. They are misunderstanding what this term means. It is a reference to the fans passion for the game not how well the teams are doing. So it is just as much a hotbed now than it ever has been. I think its a stupid term anyhow.
  10. The key is quality ball into the fnal third not just any old ball lumped in there for him to chase down which is currently the case.
  11. at ths thread. There's no way he should be dropped. Its typical of the 'what have you done for me lately' brigade. He's still coming back from injury remember. The team is s*** and can create nothing for Owen its as simple as that, were he playing in a top 6 team he would be banging them in for fun. He's gonna be a vital component in the upcoming home games where we can hopefully create some chances for him.
  12. We are doomed, completely doomed. I predict we will win only one of these upcoming 'easy' 3 home games. Gutted tbh.
  13. Whats with everyone on this forum and questioning players weights Deflects attention from their own terrible physiques. Plus, that aint grey hair, its just the lighting. Always had a man crush on Robert, always will.
  14. I have to say that while he still looks bad, he was a million miles better than he has been in recent years.
  15. Well done to Everton, you have to say that, hope they go on to win it now. I wonder how long it'll be (if ever) until we experience something like that again.
  16. Defeat is on the cards for this one, everything points to it. They are due a win against us.

    Nile Ranger

I wanna see how good this kid is, get him in the team I say. I cant be arsed going along to watch the reserves or the kids anymore tbh.
  19. Id love to bring one of you overseas fans along with me and the lads on the piss on a matchday, particularly an away day. You'd be made more than welcome. -Meet at the pub at 7am for a fry up and a pint while watching the half asleep stripper get her flange out on the pool table. -Onto the bus about 9am ish depending on where we are playing. -Sink numerous cans on said bus and indulge in a sing song and mickey taking. -Take over one of the locals pubs for more drink and singsong. -Rock up to the ground, go mental, (endure the match ) then back onto the bus, laugh at the people who didnt make it back aboard and are thus stranded hundreds of miles from home, then back up to gods country. You'll certainly not regret choosing NUFC then!

  22. Dont mate, cause when the good times come round again you'll be glad you chose NUFC.
  23. Well, he is more than bang on with the 'dysfunctional' bit.
  24. The summer of 2003 is the exact point that the tits started to go up for NUFC.
