Both teams have more Glory hunters than Man U and Liverpool. There is no doubt that Sunderlands bid is being far better publicised and if the decision was taken purely on this factor then they would win. Hopefully it is not.

I have to say that the Sunderland bid seems to be getting far more publicity than our bid. They actually seem confident of getting it which is quite worrying. The Tyneside bid doesnt seem to want it as much and is just expecting us to get it cause we are Newcastle imo.

It's an argument thats been had on here many a time but salary cap is the only way forward for the domestic game if we want a truely competetive league. This will probably hinder English teams in Europe but really who gives a fuck? What I want is for the Wigans of this world to have as much chance of winning the league as Man U given the right management and coaching of course.
