  1. Its just another case of NUFC's continuing failure in everything that they do. NUFC should have strong connections with EVERY single boys club on Tyneside and in Northumberland as well as keeping an eye on the rest of the North East in Mackem and Smoggie territory. There should not be one single player with potential that we dont know about on Tyneside before the rest of the clubs. I mean, how the f*** Shearer slipped through the net I'll never f***ing know.
  2. Liverpool had a song to the same tune so we probably nicked it off them.
  3. What if you've paid by credit card?, can you still get your money back?
  4. Agree, we are pretty s*** lyrically but there are still about 15 sets of fans in the league worse than us in that department.
  5. Well, Im 26 and sure, I wasnt around for the really bad times of the 80's but since I can remember following the club (just before Keegan took over first time) the way the club is at the moment is the worst I have ever seen it. I have no hope for the future, and am generally sick as a pig about it tbh. What makes it even worse is that just a few short months ago I thought the club was going places again and willingly forked out £1400 for a 3 year season ticket. I now just have total apathy for all things Newcastle United. The constant mismanaging of the club is a disgrace of epic proportions and what pisses me off the most is that I know for a fact that there is not one single person amongst the players and the board (who get paid massive fortunes dont foget) that care about whats going on more than me. Thats what f***s me off most about it. Where do we go in the future?....fuck knows.
  6. FFS, the club hits a new low. FUCKING IDIOTS RUNNING THIS CLUB! AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
  7. Im still waiting for the big Luque comeback myself like. Get your money on him parachuting into SJP against the mackems and getting on the end of Geremi cross. Not as far fetched as you might think.
  8. I have no doubts that the real shirt will be shite and one that none of us like. Much like the current one.

Fwiw I agree with their article on Robson. They were bang on about how they saw the whole situation of the Wolves game and his eventual sacking. The club had just started taking its first few steps backwards on the journey that has turned into the huge slide to where we find ourselves today. Still love the fella though.
  10. Belted out lately?!?!? Try for f***ing years mate!
  11. Ok i'll bite - Its Kasabian! Oasis - Acquiesce, when he's jogging on the beach, etc. I havent seen this film for ages but Im pretty sure Acquiesce is not used in this film. 'Cast No Shadow' and the one specially written for the film "Who put the weight of the world on my shoulders' are the two Oasis tracks. I could be wrong though.
  12. Yep, fucking brilliant!! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5i_D6oQO6b8
  13. Think the only one I can't stand is Rocky V. Quoted for truth. All good, except 5.
  14. I think its as a result of for years away fans having a go at home fans for their shit support "Your supposed to be at home!" etc. etc. Now, it has got to the point where home atmospheres everywhere are pretty shit that a teams away fans are the yardstick for how good their support is. Liverpools were shit, that is why they are being critisized.
  15. Its funny, at the Boro away game I met two lads, Newcastle fans from Scotland, it was their first away game and they were trying to hide the fact that they were Scottish. They kept just saying the words we have in common like "Aye, Heed, toon" etc. I fell for it for a while till I caught them out and realised they were Jocks. They said they werent sure if they would get trouble or not from the Geordies for being Scottish. Canny lads though.
  16. If honours make a 'big' club, would you consider a club that, in it's history, has won 2 European cups, 2 FA cups, 4 League cups and been league champions, amongst other things, a big club? Honours - Go towards. With... bums on seats? Whats more important in determining a 'big' club, past honours or current/recent past gate size? not having a go, just curious. Oh howay man weve gone into this. Fanbase, trophies, stadium, turnover are the main criteria for a big club. Anyway you look at it we tick all the boxes.

  18. Anyone else notice how the vast majority of these Geordie Liverpool fans tend to be around late 30's early 40's? Teenagers of the 80's when we were Epically bad and they were Epically good?? hmmmm......................
  19. While I understand the argument that it was an early kick off so they hadnt had any ale. Hang on a minute, THAT is an excuse for the home fans not the aways surely isnt it? I would reckon 90% of my pre match alcohol on away trips is consumed on the journey with just 10% consumed at the destination. If the kickoff is 12 you start drinking when you leave at 6/7, simple isnt it? And yes, I hate Geordie Liverpool fans, theres loads, I know one who is always Liverpool this and Liverpool that when really his interest in football is minute. c***.
  20. Size of stadium, fanbase, history, turnover etc. NUFC despite what some of our own fans would rubbish is a big club, one of the biggest in the country although not an elite club which I regard Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal as. I'd say Everton are a big club too along with Villa, Spurs and Chelsea. Clubs of stature. Yeah I'd say basically when you add together fan base, stadium, turnover, honours etc etc you get a club of 'stature'. People think we've won f*** all as a club EVER. Sure we've won nowt in years but we've won 6 YES SIX FA CUPS as well as a European trophy amongst other things. We have been a top three side numerous times since the PL started and even as recently as THIS DECADE. Numerous stints in the CL to boot aswell as more seasons in the UEFA cup than I can keep count of. Sure, we are s*** now but these things should not be forgotten. I'd say these are the 'true' clubs of stature in England: Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton, Spurs, Villa, and Leeds. Some others may come close to this group but they are the undoubted 'Big Clubs'.
  21. Its probably already been said but Liverpools support today was some of the worst ever heard from a side top of the league. Not a peep for the first 20 minutes. They have been spoilt.
