Aye played some decent stuff, was mainly the 2nd half when the balls were getting hoofed upto Carroll, mainly from Given.

He had a decent first season when he was playing in the middle, showed some good touches and set up a canny amount of goals IIRC. Second season when he played he was on the left wing and that isnt his position as he doesnt have the pace to play there.

Problem with that article is that the players mentioned were all proven in there respective league. Marcelino looked a class defender for Mallorca but didnt want to play for us. Same goes for Luque and Boumsong

Whats wrong with them demanding that price for there best player? If someone really wants him, they will pay that ammount and then Charlton will sign 2 or 3 players with that money. If they dont sell, he will just get them back into the Premiership on his own. Either way, Charlton are winners.
