  1. What do you mean? Just the fact that supporting Newcastle has nothing to do with supporting Ashley and Sports Direct, the fans at the match today will have been going to games long before the fat bastard came Herr and will be going long after he has gone I just think it's very harsh to tar them with the brush that because they support their team they support Ashley which is 100% not the case It is unfortunately very naive to still be hoping this is the case. There's no reason for him to change the way he runs the club. NUFC continues to be one of the best supported clubs in Europe. The horrific state of the stadium should be enough of a strong symbol to prove that if there is even a "massine line that separates Newcastle United and Sports Direct", it's about as wide as the gap between two of the SD signs placated around the ground.
  2. From a purely sporting perspective surely it was correct to give it to Aubameyang. Which is why Toure isn't arguing the point from a sporting perspective, but rather bringing up this gripe. Very bitchy. They officials should buy him a cake to calm him down.
  3. Eh, what happened there? Actually, seeing the goals in succession like that: you can see he looks chunkier for that penalty than once the season got properly under way.
  4. Took him a while to get his first, but once he did he got a few in quick succession. Had forgotten about that, but yeah, you can probably pinpoint his downfall to that very moment.
  5. Likewise... Born in 1983 like myself so I remember very well when we signed him. Took a little while to get going but he was brilliant in the 02-03 season.
  6. Watched the game with my Everton supporting mate, and he was raving about Besic. As much about his hair parting than his actual ability though, which was a bit weird.
  7. With the fantastic new Wonga kit too. Ugh.
  8. Central defender capable, willing and actively looking to play forwards? Oh, no no no. Can't be having any of that.

    Alan Shearer

He does back down pretty quickly
  10. His booking was so him. No attempt to even try and get anything, just immediately gave up and went in for the hack. Despicable.
  11. Well he won the Ballon d'Or for his 'heroics' in the UEFA Cup mainly, no? Plus that Cup final where he won it for Liverpool is pretty epic. Add to that his England record and how it started against Argentina... Not so much Premier League stuff though.
  12. The right middle ground between a big move and one where he'd keep a certain freedom. That's why Dortmund would probably be the best fit.
  13. One of the highlights of going to the games in recent years... Which is a little sad. Sitting almost right below where you hung that banner up in the stadium. http://i.imgur.com/zrJfzlt.jpg
  14. Still cannot get over that It's also desperately sad exactly because you know many had the same reasoning.
  15. Wow, don't really know what to say. Poor guy, poor family. I hope they stay strong.
  16. Really loving these videos, two class strikes from the Villareal kids:
  17. Now you've got me thinking about a defensive midfield duo of Smith and Colback. Thanks.
  18. "We'll be absolutely fine", people. I don't see what the problem is.

I still don't want us to go down... But at the same time I know full well that there would be little point to staying up other than doing it all over again next year and just continuing to exist for the sake of existing. Plus the sight of a Wonga shirt makes me sick. In the ground or around town. That's a pretty standard fucked up, unhealthy relationship right there.
  20. Your sig. I feel bad for even knowing what he means. Losing it at the sig right now
