It's actually fun placing each of them at some point on the Kubler Ross cycle. Most have past the denial stage and are currently stomping between anger and bargaining. Page after page after page, day after day, same old people posting the same old shit purely to try and make each other feel better about the situation. Their own little comfort blanket. Firmly in the 'let them get on with it' camp, the bile and hatred drops from every post.

Aye, they're more illustrated opinion pieces than cartoons now. Still have the odd chuckle now and again but they're nowhere near as funny as they were a few years ago.
  3. Absolutely vital they get the decision right, no problem at all with waiting for another 2 or 3 weeks if it means getting the one they want. Critical appointment and will decide the direction we're going to move in for the next 5+ years. Take your time, get it right, appoint them soon and back then in Jan.
  4. This is on Solskjaer 100%. He's just not an elite manager and never will be, he's probably a canny bloke (ignoring the Lee tackle), pretty popular with he players, incredibly popular with the fans, or at least he was until about 6pm tonight, and more than capable of holding the fort for a short period of time. Unfortunately that's where it ends. He's won nothing of note, spent an absolute fortune and HIS team look a million miles away from the genuine elite teams and managers like Pep and Klopp. He's lightyears behind them and probably always will be, he's doing his best but he'll never better them, they're demonstrably superior in every department and will continue to pick him and his team apart again and again and again. He's got not credentials and no answers. He's got to leave asap. Going behind continually and pulling it back around with individual brilliance is simply not sustainable for any manager. It's winging it and the players can take credit for most of the comebacks imo. They pulled it around so often despite Ole, not because of him.
  5. This is the huge elephant in the room regarding punditry in this country. Even the most intelligent pundits who generally make the most salient and pertinent points when they speak have a collective blind-spot when it comes to talking about their mates. They absolutely refuse to go in on people they know or they've played with or they like. Make a complete mockery of them and they show themselves up on a daily basis, needs a complete shift of the punditry paradigm.
  6. I'm not even totally sure that the banner was a direct pop at Newcastle fans either. The main target of it was the PL for passing it and for the Saudi's for their horrific record on human rights. Both of which I would find it impossible to argue with tbh. The facts are that the Saudi's record of HR is abhorrent and criticising it is absolutely fair game imo, letting it slide and ignoring it isn't going to do anything to help the situation. I suppose the timing of it all could be questioned. Why are Palace fans suddenly concerned with HR abuses in Saudi Arabia? Where were the banners last month? The obvious answer is that Palace fans now have to compete with a club that's now part of their world via the PL, and they've got every right to voice their protest. Newcastle fans see the banner in the stadium and online, consider it an attack and the first, natural instinct is to defend the club as they would do, it's tribal, you attack us, we defend ourselves. Problem with that mentality is that is plays into the hands of the Saudis and in doing so you're already quite a few steps down the line of defending the indefensible. It's sportswashing, it's the reason they wanted a PL club in the first place. We're going to have to get used to this, we're also going to have to be better at responding to it too.
  7. Smug pricks sitting there saying survival is the only priority and completely ignoring the fucker who put us in this position. He did a great job but anyone coming in will be doing well to keep us up. Just try and reconcile those 2 statements for a minute or 2. They're fucking dense as fuck. Give it to big Sam... Type of people who read one page of a book and make their minds up about everything. So caught up in their own tiny little world that everything outside of it is bad, scary or not to be trusted. Backward set of inbred xenophobic cunts.
  8. Wouldn't swap a bucket of shit for the opinions of Sherwood, Merson and Morrison tbph.
  9. The best reaction is no reaction in this instance imo. Say absolutely nothing, he's been sacked because results and performances have been largely dogshit since Xmas. No need to justify it, no need to explain anything. He's shocking and now he's unemployed. End of story.
  10. Today's headlines are tomorrows memories, he'll be forgotten within a fortnight, the media just need topics to discuss. Ride it out and let the cunt fade into oblivion, it doesn't even matter. He's gone and will never be back, there will be something to replace the story with in the next few days and the population will forget about Steve Bruce completely soon enough.
  11. He's the one. Appoint him and back him in January and stick with him for at least 3 years, come what may.
  12. He's not even one of the top managers of the last 100 minutes for fucks sake. He's utter garbage but he's history. This is the endgame and it's over. Ashley out, Saudi's in, Bruce out. We won. Get fucked.
  13. I think a lot of it is fellow managers simply trotting out the normal cliches to sound supportive or to rule out saying anything controversial whatsoever. I don't believe for a second that Arteta genuinely thinks he's one of the most important English managers we've produced but it sounds like a nice compliment and he's being ultra respectful. Then there's the arseholes who simply lie through their teeth and hope they get away with it without any direct challenge to their (horseshit) opinions and views. Being his mate means ignoring all facts, logic and common sense, blatantly telling lies and blaming the fans for having (totally justified) pops at him for his shocking results and performances. The entire pundit circus needs wiping completely and being honest about individuals needs to come before staying mates. Not sure this phenomenon happens in other sports, failing managers and coaches are fair game for challenge imo. It's an old boys club and they'll all stick together unfortunately. It's shit but seems to appeal to a huge majority of fans who seemingly need to be told what to think.
  14. I'm still getting my head around it tbh. Might take a while.
  15. I'll happily admit to not giving him a chance based purely on the fact he didn't deserve a chance. His managerial CV is measly, tattered and barren as fuck and he simply didn't warrant an appointment at any PL club. He's achieved precisely nothing as a manager, absolutely zero, he's a proven failure. Every Newcastle fan knew he was going to fail and the only question was how long it would take. He inherited a very encouraging, disciplined, organised and motivated team and his complete lack of ability and nefarious personality gradually undid all of the good Rafa had ingrained in the squad. The lack of fans last season helped to paper over the cracks for a while and, for anyone monitoring the table rather than actually watching matches, it appeared as if he was "doing a great job". The fans, as ever, can see beyond that and know what's actually happening. The connection broke irrevocably and the horrible cunt seemed determined to cast himself as a pariah. I feel a sense of relief I'll never have to see or listen to the fat, gormless galoot ever again. The money spent getting him out is probably the best cash the new regime will ever spend. I couldn't give a fuck what he does or where he washes up next. I'm just glad the vile fuckwit is out and he'll never be our problem ever again. He's the past, Fonseca appears to be the future
  16. Honestly don't know what they're thinking or trying to do here. I get the fact they're trying to stop SA from investing into Newcastle directly, that's apparent and obvious. It also means that bringing in this rule also means that none of the current owners can do the same to their own clubs either. The rule has to apply to all clubs so every single sponsorship deal at every club needs to be looked at. It cuts that route off funds for all clubs. If 1 club finds a workaround then the rest just follow suit and copy. If no clubs find the workaround then each club is no better off for having a minted owner. It's fucking bullshit and money will win out, as always. Loopholes will be there and when you're able to hire the smartest legal minds on the planet then there will be a solution. Money wins. Every fucking day.
  17. Kondogbia/Milner yellows now paid out on PP as void. Similar to Gallagher/Saka 2 sot on Monday night.
  18. Had a mint 7 fold come in tonight for a whopping £15. Only had 82p on it (just levelling the account off) Sunderland and over 1.5 goals Ajax/Dortmund over 2.5 goals Inter and over 1.5 goals Porto 2 cards Atletico 2 cards Shaktar/Real over 2.5 PSG and over 1.5 The winnings aren't important, I had a hunch on them all and it all came in
  19. Removing the current manager is the only prescient decision they need to make in the immediate future. He's a clear and obvious millstone, he needs to be removed from the equation immediately.
  20. In that case they need to get their shit in a pile and sort the cunt asap. Every week they delay increases the chances of going down. It's a very realistic prospect and they need to act immediately.
  21. Bruce is like a smoke alarm that's been going off for 10 months solid. When the fuck are they going to address it? How much more damage are they going to allow him to do? How many more games are they going to sacrifice with this lame, obnoxious cunt in charge? He needs binning immediately. Tonight. The longer they leave it, the harder it is to bring it back.
  22. Dogshit manager loses control of dressing room shocker!!! Bin the cunt asap, he's scandalous. Absolutely toxic for the club and team.
  23. Even so, I still find it highly ironic that he's having a pop at anyone else for "not having a fucking clue" tbh
  24. Hay. Listen. You can't change things overnight, let me tell you. It takes, I down't know, maybe 20 years, I'm not sure how long I'...hahaha, I've been in this game a long time let me tell you. I've been through this enou - plenty times to know that. I've got the experiences of, I dunno, about 20 years and it doesn't happen by accident. I've taken this well drilled unit of motivated organised defenders and turned them into a fucking shambles, let me tell you.
