Benitez is a very good manager imo, he's won pots and cups we'll never even imagine, but he can't coach courage, he can't coach pride and the poor bloke is on a hiding to nothing. The problem runs deeper than the manager or the coaches or even the players. The entire ethos of the club is fucked beyond all repair, this guy is only now seeing the true extent of the problem and I bet he can't wait to get the fuck out of it. The senior side, U-21's and the academy teams combined records this season are horrific. These 3 Newcastle teams have won just 16 games of football between them in 74 games (21.6%). They've lost 43 of those 74 too (58.1%). Combined GD is a whopping -74. Man alive. Burn the place to the ground and just start again, rip it to pieces, it's utterly pathetic at every single level of the club.

No idea exactly who will be left but I'd imagine there wouldn't be too much demand for any of the squad bar perhaps Perez. Sure a few will have already told their agents to get them out of the club asap already. Certainly wouldn't be too upset about any of them leaving as few of them will be useful next year.

Now that it looks like relegation is almost 100% confirmed I'm veering more and more towards going down again and ripping the club apart. Scatter the bits for miles and put it back together properly with people who genuinely care for the club and who put it's interests first. Keeping the current status quo will just prolong it even longer, lance the boil the quicker the better and if it means going to the arse end of the country every other week then so be it. Supporting the club and having a bit of pride in it is far more important than following the current NUFC in the PL. I want my club back and if it needs to be virtually destroyed first then so be it.
