A striker and a CB? That it? They haven't got a fucking clue. It took Pardew 37 games to ensure survival which included buying him half a new team in January ffs. Adding just 2 quality players to this pool of players could be fine if the manager had a clue, but he hasn't. If they genuinely think that's enough to get through next season then they're retarded, spending big on players means nothing if the bloke who manages them hasn't got a clue. It's the epitome of false economy.

How was the tour? Cracking. The bloke let everyone have a bit kick about on the pitch so the boy got to score a few goals and that. He dribbled it from one goal to the other, class. Was it the old bloke? Did he tell you about it how the glass has to be cleaned by abseilers and that they have two vacancies for it? Did he then tell you the same story again about ten minutes later? Nah, must have been the other one, nice bloke though. Obviously knew the kids would love a run around so he just let them have 5 minutes. Going to see if I can get him on the list to be a mascot next season.

It doesn't matter a shit but that's a(nother) horrible shirt like. How can they continue to get it wrong year after year? -
wouldn't surprise me if Nissan just use it as a base tbh. Hadn't even considered Nissan tbf.

Dare say it'll be busy on matchdays/concerts but what about the other 330 days of the year?

Napoli is a shithole, pretty sure he'd rather have managed us. Done this before but Naples is the scariest place I've ever been to. Been all over the shop but Naples is the only place I've ever felt genuinely scared like.

Palace are probably more likely to go straight back down imo so I'd like them promoted. It think Watford might have a bit of a go at it if they come up.

No faith in him at all. To be perfectly honest I don't think he is even capable of stopping us from going backwards, let alone moving us forwards.
-
They're perfectly happy just to make up the numbers and plod along. Zero ambition whatsoever. Pardew is the tyre the squad is dragging behind it and he simply shouldn't be here. He thoroughly deserved to lose his job this week and I'm bitterly disappointed he hasn't. I just can't be enthusiastic with him in charge after watching the disaster unfold this season. It's been utterly turgid shite for months and it's Pardew's responsibility. He needed to go, man. Fuck's sake.

Maths? Some good news When is APR etc taught in maths, I'd bet quite a few people coming out of school don't understand anything to do with terms like that. Yeah I know I'm just kidding, there should be some of it taught. Closest you get is calculating simple and compound interest on an investment. Nothing else is on the syllabus in that area and the exam boards don't test it so we don't teach it.

They'll avoid relegation by a few points problees.

Zero chance of him turning this around like. This isn't a mis-season malaise which can be rectified with one or two tweaks here and there. This is a deep-rooted lack of tactical awareness, picking the wrong teams and making the wrong substitutions for a prolonged period of time. This hasn't happened overnight, this has been on the cards for months. The players can't/won't implement his bullshit tactics and we've scraped over the line to survival. It took 37 games to gather enough points to ensure survival which is testament to how bad it's been to watch. I've no faith in him whatsoever turning this around. I's beyond him, he simply isn't good enough to switch this around no matter wh his boss buys for him. He's an inherently shit manager and we'll continue to move backwards as long as he's here. No-one will convince me otherwise. Sack the cunt tonight.

I don't think there are many posters who wouldn't want Pardew sacked and replaced by a better manager if presented with that option; we're pretty much all in agreement this season has been a huge disappointment/underachievement. Just some of us don't go overboard with the Pardew criticism to the point of personal abuse or not accepting any mitigating circumstances, and acknowledge it is highly unlucky Ashley will sack Pardew (due to the stability guff they came out with a mere 8 months ago) and replace with a better manager (based on his track record in this area). This bloke has come ridiculously close to relegating us. How much shitter does it have to get? Relegation would set us back years and this bloke very nearly achieved it this year. I'm aware of Ashley's track record of appointing managers but keeping the present incompetent boss purely because his replacement may be even worse is no argument at all. Everyone accepts he's poor. Everyone accepts he's taking the club backwards but some want too keep him. I simply can't agree with the logic of persisting with a bloke who's universally regarded as being a poor manager. I'd rather Ashley rolled the dice tbh. And I agree with you. I'd also rather he did. Even if I don't agree with you it couldn't get worse. He appointed Joe f***ing Kinnear for crying out loud. At least Pardew got us to 5th last season with a team heavily featuring the likes of Simpson, Williamson and Perch among some obviously more talented players. However, as I have argued, it will not happen, as Ashley and Dekka are not prepared to save face so quickly after coming it with one of the longest contracts football has ever seen and presenting it as some sort of role model to rubbish other club's (and our previous owners) models. I don't expect him to lose his job as much as I'd like to see it. I've accepted he's going to get the chance to (mis)manage us next year much to my chagrin. I've lost faith in him and another worry is that the players have lost faith in him too. We looked a completely demoralised, disillusioned and clueless XI in the last few home games. The body language was awful and they looked and played like they've given up on Pardew and what he was telling them. There was no reaction at all to the derby loss (that's a biggie imo) and can't see that getting better either. Remains to be seen what happens in the summer but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that a few of them are looking to move on this summer, given the season we've all endured. If that happens we're plugging even more gaps and eventually we're going to run out of fingers.

We've scored less, lost more, won less and conceded more than ever. The performances have been so poor that I've considered jacking the season ticket in next year. His football is awful, doesn't entertain anyone and going to the game simply isn't enjoyable for me any more, I go more out of duty and a misguided obligation rather than in the expectation of, god forbid, seeing a Newcastle team attacking the opposition. Not one player has improved in the last year, his tactics are cowardly, sterile and negative. His use of substitutions are as baffling as they are negative. The regression is results and performances has been shockingly bad, the squad and the players are going backwards at a rate of knots and the worrying thing is that Pardew looks helpless to stop it. One look at his CV shows that this pattern has been repeated elsewhere - start well, initial success followed by a tailing off process that ultimately ends in the sack. I've lost all faith in him turning this around and I'd rather he wasn't allowed to take us further backwards than he already has done. It's a matter of 'when', not 'if' he goes now. This repair job is beyond him. If other have got more patience in him putting it right and getting us back in to top 6 or 7 next season then fair play, I've had enough though.
