We're so small-time it's unreal. Zero ambition, zero investment, we're now 100% bottom-feeders - feeding on the scum. We can't even be arsed to spend the money we generate let alone any money our owner provides to push the club forward. We're £750k in the black since the season finished 2 and a half months ago.
-
What if we sign Remy and Gomis I'll be as delighted as I am surprised.
-
We're just a waste of time. What's the fucking point, man? The owner doesn't even want us to do well, what fucking chance have we got? What's the fucking point? Seriously man , they can all get fucked.

Not exactly thrilled by the thought of signing Bent atm. Don't think he's a particularly good footballer but can finish chances if they're provided for him. However, the thought of Cisse getting a bad injury early in the season is horrific. We need strikers/forwards and he'd be a better option than Shola to bring off the bench if we're chasing a game/goal. Bent and Cisse certainly couldn't play in the same team though. Those 2 as the spearhead of a 4-4-2 is just ridiculous.

as regards the contract when he was inside ,aye, as for the rest it's joeys spin, the players committee and bonus sheet stuff being particularly laughable. Yeah I thought the bonus thing got sorted out eventually? Could be my memory playing tricks but I'm sure I heard about a story where all of the agents were spoken to and it got signed off?

He was only having a pop at those posting gifs ffs.

Little shit's got rocks for brains. No update, not on my watch.

The public gets what the public wants.

Fuck off!

Think they're just talking purely transfers in and out.
-
Vochic. FFS Kinnear's obviously got hold of a word processor.
-
The only possible reason for including Gosling is to put him in the shop window. There may be a few scouts in the crowd and if he plays well (stop sniggering) then the chances of shifting the useless twat increase. Other than that I'm out of ideas.

It's still the fucking Bronze Age up there man.

Should have added 'Humility' to the list.

Perish the thought we'd be doing something constructive to actively strengthen the squad. Let's just posture and play the game out. Not a pop at you btw.
-
And that is the plan. Why not just sack him in the summer then? Fucker deserved it tbh.
-
This is it exactly. The money is there but the willingness to invest and strengthen is not. Southampton have just spent £12m to take Celtic's best midfielder away from them. West Ham have spent millions to secure Carroll permanently. Sunderland have rolled the dice a little but at least they're having a go. Yet we've done nothing to move the club forward. Relying on the 3 promoted teams and Stoke to be worse than us to avoid relegation. It's embarrassing.

Is 7m cheap? Was 12m on Debuxhy and Mbiwa cheap? Was Anita cheap at 6m? We've been right up there with the top spenders in the last two January windows. We've had 1 bad window in the last 4- let's wait and see what happens with this one. The 'we're cheap bastards' line is as bad as the 'we sell all our good players' line. We look for value for money. I don't always agree with it but that's the way it is. We've had to pay more money in January than everyone else because we were too tight to pay for players in the summer - you know, when you're actually meant to do most of your business? When other real football clubs do it? Debuchy? We wouldn't pay the going rate for him in the summer then when we bought him after relying solely on Simpson for five months our manager whinged like fuck that he'd had to throw them straight into a relegation fight. That's what pre season is meant to be for but why bother when you can throw half a season down the toilet to try and get a pound off? Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding.
-
If we really wanted him then he'd be here by now. We've offered a decent amount of money in the circumstances and a little (relatively speaking) more would get the deal done. It just smacks of trying to do things on the cheap every single time when sometimes it's not a case of 'we can't afford to' and more a case of 'we can't afford not to'. Going into the season with just Cisse, Gouffran Shola and Campbell is suicide. We need to invest, we need to strengthen and failure to do so will mean a relegation battle from Day 1. The lack of ambition is truly embarrassing.
