  1. Move him on now before the rest of the footballing world realise he's now dogshit.
  2. Academy Director would be ideal for Taylor. Always comes across as a decent bloke and one who has his head screwed on.
  3. Statistics are great. If a bloke stuck his head in an oven and his feet in a freezer, on average he'd be comfortable.
  4. That's pretty much my line of thinking tbh. However... I'm coming around to the idea that there won't be much discussion going on outside a transfer forum. Transfers are the only subject, really. So why split it out? Mixing up a few different ideas from several people, my proposal is this: Rumours get their own thread, with significant title editing going on to update the situation. EG: 'Rumour: I saw Kaka eating in Greggs'. Any Kaka stuff (new or old) would be merged into there, and if new developments occur, it goes into the title. Like the match threads. The 'rumour' bit would be changed to 'talks', or 'completed'. So that example would change to 'Talks: Kaka confirms NUFC interest - from page 19', then 'Talks: Mort confirms Kaka bid - from page 137', then 'Completed: Kaka joins Newcastle United'. When a deal becomes permanent, the original thread is locked, and a new thread started with confirmation of the fee/contract, and any statement from the club in the OP. This allows detailed discussion of the transfer without having to be in a fucking massive old thread. A stickied thread (to replace the one there now) with links as James suggests, but only to confirmed deals. Similar to the 'currently happening' sticky I did last year. The same can happen for outgoing rumours/talks/deals. Suggestion threads stay separate, and untouched. Non-transfer threads stay separate, and untouched. Thoughts? Looks familiar...
  5. When they're all about football, I don't see why they can't all go in the 'Football' forum? Or have I misunderstood? Over-complicating things imo.
  6. That's pretty much my thinking too tbh. Not bothered either way though.
  7. A Russian fan has been stabbed outside of the stadium... Sky News. Not thought to be life-threatening but it's not a good sign.
  8. Teams like Real and Barca shouldn't be allowed to have shirt sponsors. PS. I know all about Barca/unicef. Still looks better without it though.
  9. I'm thinking big score line. The way Rangers have spawned their way to the final is reminiscent of Boro a few years back. Zenit could well hammer them in the way Sevilla did.
  10. No, it won't!! All seriousness, the odds on Zenit aren't as short as they should be. Worth a little lump IMO. OK. Scratch that. I hope it's a good game. That better?
  11. I actually hope Zenit score an early goal. It might force Rangers to come out and attack them.
  12. Rangers v Zenit St. Petersburg. (7.45 kick off ITV) Should be a good game. Canny preview here: http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=694651
  13. He'd be the first to start twisting if Chelsea did that to Gerrard. Cock-end.
  14. Will he extend his contract though? That's a good question. I'm not so sure myself at this point in time, depends on what's happening around him (will one of the big four show an interest? I'm not so sure). I think he'll stay for now because we'll be his best option for now, i.e. guaranteed games which in World Cup Qualifying year, he'll be most concerned about as a priority of his. Probably true I suppose. The whole contract thing should have been sorted much earlier though imo. He can talk to other clubs in January and leave for nothing this time next year. Other clubs don't wait this late to re-sign players.
  15. Will he extend his contract though?
  16. Juve. Replacement for Nedved. Maybe. Also linked with Barca and Real He'd do a good job at any of those clubs tbh. Cracking player.
  17. Juve. Replacement for Nedved. Maybe.
  18. He came from Lisbon didn't he? Canny deal for them to get him back 3(?) years later for fuck all.
  19. Shauny Shaun would be an excellent buy.
  20. Bought him to stop Man U buying him i reckon. Milan used to do exactly the same thing for years under Berlusconi.
  21. I bet the Nuffield are making his bed up as we speak.
