Still think the spawny twats will win it late on. >

Definitely a strange one that...

First contact outside of the box tbh. See post above. And also the thread we had about Graham Poll's column a little while ago. If the contact continues into the area, it's a spot kick. Fairy nuff. Didn't know that and assumed it at the point of initial contact/foul. I stand corrected.

Where's Terry's son these days? Didn't he leave at the same time as Gardner following the accusations of bullying against Beardsley and Wharton? Did they go to Forest?
-
He signed for York in the summer. Ah right. Cheers.

What happened to Paul Brayson?

Jamie Redknapp seems to be holding high opinions around football atm, its only a matter of time before he follows daddy into management, but its a risk Bolton seriously cannot take right now. There's not really a solid option for them apart from Jewell for me, and it must be the case now where he's said no and they look elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, Jewell is the obvious name in the frame.....but if it was all arranged, why hasn't he taken the job already? Why are they going for the likes of Bruce and Megson? Has Jewell already knocked them back? Either way, they're coming across as being a bit desperate and being a local lad and currently unemployed - Reid could fill in for a bit. Good shout about Redknapp Jnr though. I hadn't even considered him but now you mention it... blueyes.gif Aye the ship has sailed for Jewell, must of, he's not going to get many EPL offers since he nearly got Wigan relegated last season, so this could be the best he gets for a while. Very desperate, didn't realise Reid was a local lad, would be great to get him back into football, but didn't he reject a couple of offers since bowing out a few years ago? Maybe like Keegan, he's done his time. If they hang on a month Steve McClaren will be up for grabs (and TBF, he'd be about the right level for them) When I say 'local lad', I mean he started his career with them and they were his first club from being a bairn.

Peter Reid would be a good outside bet imo.

surely he has got to go now like Dear Steve, kthx bai! Your boss.

Cyprus one up against the Republic... Staunton looks fucking clueless. Reminiscent of Roeder tbh.
-
The manager's got to carry the can ultimately but he's been badly let down by certain individuals.... Having said all that, if you can only take 1 point from Macedonia (H), Croatia (A) and Russia (A) you don't deserve to qualify imo.

goalfest on monday He'll turn into Lev Yashin's lovechild on Monday man. Sod's law.
-
Just waiting for McMilkman to come out and blame the pitch for losing. The pitch had fuck all to do with any of the goals. Robinson was badly at fault for their second. It either gets caught and gathered or pushed round the post - NOT palmed out to the onrushing striker to prod in. Rank keeping.
-
His appointment had 'disaster' written all over it imo. The silver lining for Bolton is that it's been done early enough for the new bloke to come in and have a decent shot at keeping them up. The situation is a bit like Charlton last season with Curbishley/Dowie/Reed/Pardew all coming and going within about 9 months.

RTG is the best/funniest footy site on the net. There, I've said it.

They obviously went to Derwent Hill! I've done that gorge-walk 4 times. Piece of piss tbh.

A source close to the club? Official? Nah.

Oba Martins tbh. Fantastic athlete but a very ordinary footballer.
