If the young English lads are good enough they'll break through and establish themselves regardless. The fact that young English players are ridiculously over priced/rated by their managers means that picking up someone from the continent is always going to be a better option.

Whenever England lose it takes me, literally, a few seconds to get over it/forget about it. I don't like seeing them lose and I'd love to see them win the World Cup but I don't really care when they do inevitably get knocked out.

He's still a young lad but he seems to have been around for years. He's a canny player who can switch wings and cause full-back's a bit of grief. He's certainly worth keeping and I'm sure he'll get even better. Wish he could just knock it and run past players though...

Almost all prices paid this summer have been mental. He'll be thinking that that money for an excellent, young, U21 defender is value, given that Kenwynne Jones can go for 6m, and Spurs paid 5 rising to 10 for a 17 year old. We seem to be amassing a mix the current and the just-graduated England U21 side - NRC, Agbonlahor, Moore, Davies, Young, Carson, Cahill Agree with that. The fees this summer have gone through the roof and £8.5m for Davies is about par when compared to some of the deals that have gone through in the last month or two.

Badly needed a new set of irons for a long time, may as well pay a few hundred extra and get some top ones that'll last me a good decade or so.
