No offence but that's a ridiculous thing to say...

Not saying I agree with it but Mourinho will never drop Terry. No chance. If he's fit - he starts. Agreed, even if you were taking the easy way out of the question. I think he'd start Terry and switch Cannavaro and Carvalho depending on the opposition tbh. *Not that Cannavaro is even a Chelsea player yet like!*

Wonder how Owen'll react to Taylor trying to gee him up before games?
-
I thought with the new age we had seen the last of this crap Inclined to agree tbh.

Let's hope this one doesn't go the same way as the other one, eh?...

IMO, the figures on that are slightly flawed. The stats on that site potray how many signings each paper get correct, not how many transfer targets they get right. Just because a paper says we're going to sign someone and we don't doesn't mean that they're wrong, we could have still tried to get that player and failed if you know what I mean. That's true like. blueyes.gif I just put the link up there.

The NoTW are like a blunderbuss, whereas the Telegraph are more the sniper's rifle! They might print bollocks but they shift papers...

Can someone please outline exactly what Newcastle have lost out on regarding the trial of Duscher? How much has it cost us?

Shame he's just signed for Barcelona for £16m really then. Oh ic "I see", mate. Must take you a total of about 1 and a half seconds to write out properly. who cares? why make a big deal about it? dont say its because its part of the rules as your not an admin/mod so you have no right to have a go at him Fine then I will...it's part of the rules! no problem with you saying it as you have a right to, but that other prick doesnt. You need to calm down mate. Take the hint.

Hit the nail on the head. I couldn't give a crap about prices, it's the quality of players we're (apparently) chasing. Gradually we're after poorer players and that's reason for concern in my book. Are we struggling to attract the players necessary to improve us? Is there no money in the kitty? Why are we looking at midtable players like Young and Queudrue? Young and Queudrue would be very much like the signings of Babayaro and Carr. Indeed. I've said this before and got attacked for it, but I'd like us to at least be linked with some younger players whose best days are in front of them, not behind them. Rather take the risk on them than extremely average players in their late 20s. To be fair though I'd rather we had a decent squad right now then we can bring in the "potential" players. Oh, agreed. I'd like us to finish getting a decent squad sorted first too, but at the same time I'd like us to bring in some "potential" players in the same way Liverpool do. Liverpool can attract these players due to: 1) Having a high quality squad 2) Having successive top 4 finishes 3) Always in europe with success. Something we lack atm. Eh? I'm was thinking more of all these young Hungarian/Bulgurian/Spanish/Italian etc etc teenagers. Not the likes of Babel, Torres etc. Liverpool perhaps weren't the best example and I suppose I'm being pretty unfair on Big Sam atm, but still. Just a link with 1 or 2 "potential" players would be nice, at some point during this window (not expecting them now). I knew what you meant Mel. Liverpool recently brought a clutch of about 6 young players to the club from here, there and everywhere. Chances are that they'll have a look at them and sell them on but there might just be a Fabregas or a Toure in amongst that lot. I think they're taking their lead from Wenger who's been doing this for a few years now and he's found some cracking players. I'd love us to do the same.

Surely Allardyce will want to protect the playing surface so we can play a slick, passing game next season?...

I strongly suggest you check your PM's red.
