today eh ? Cover me with shades of disbelief Can happiness be someone's else's dream Numbers call to spell my name Move about as values change Catch me if you can But don't delay Today, today It's a dream away Governed by the title on the wall Commit me to a life within a fool Happiness can often bleed Beggars lay among the sheep Let me take the choice The sermon pleads Today today It's a dream away Visions in my cell begin to breed Was everything a fact of what I'd read Excuse me while I spell my name Boat and ship could sound the same Catch me if you can But don't delay Today today It's a dream away Belle Malissima Today today It's a dream away

That is parked right next to K.Dyer giving it large to the press about himself & him V Paul Scholes. Later that day Scholes whacked 3 past us. tbf barton was half right. the idea of some boring footballer releasing an autobiog when barely half way through a career is annoying in the extreme. remember rooney and owen releasing them when barely (if even) in their twenties.

Your problem is that you are a massive club. Sky and the BBC know that they will get good viewing figures if they put you on. Games on Monday night TV should be local derbies (no more than 50-60 miles) as it is a pain for travelling support. Unfortunately tv companies dont care about fans-just viewing figures. bloody hell man. everyone hates us for saying we are a massive club then folk come on and tell us we are. no wonder we drink so bloody much.

bit harsh calling therm shit grounds. give me grounds like that over SoL or the riverside any day.
-
Good point. You see Matty Fryatt's miss against us for Leicester? A decent Prem striker would have worked the keeper at a minimum. shurly that belongs in a thread not a million miles from here.

seen plenty come and get me pleas in the town on a weekend night.

Sebastien Bassong signs for Tottenham Hotspur, fee undisclosed

those as-yet-unknown injuries can be the worst. -
just thinking that myself whilst reading this thread. at the moment we are a sprinter leading in the first couple of hundred meters of the 5,000meters. hope that makes sense. be fun to see our kids get a few games. thery should cut it when i think back to all those wanting them thrown in to the prem over the last couple of seasons.

Guthrie signed for us midway through July, this was an article printed two days before the tranfer deadline. very true, don't see what it has to do with what we are discussing but very true nonetheless.
-
Zayatte talking about our interest after he signs for Hull http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4422699,00.html Absolutely clear as day what happened here. "if","probably" and at least one was signed....guthrie. is it possible zayatte wanted more than we were prepared to pay ? umpteen reasons why players don't sign for clubs. i'll waiy for evidence as opposed to looking for things that suit a specific view.
-
Nautical term i would have thought. publicanism surely.
-
if thats an anagram it's crap.
-
How is that? When I read the transfer rumours bit in the screws I think some may happen while others are pie in the sky & are there for the headlines on Sunday. Likewise with this article some like the Rio thing I am buying that, other bits I am 100% sure of. i'm sure you'll understandf my thinking then that some will pick out of it whatever suits their view of things.
-
they weren't impossible but certainly not sustainable given the position we were in. i've said in the past there was a stage when we were buying parker, emre and duff under the noses of everton and spurs saying"they'll come here as they can't afford the wages" when it turns out we couldn't either.
-
so losing money hand over fist, 70% of turnover going on players wages......bring one or two of these in ?
-
from the news of the screws story we are talking about. also i don't say he did want them but if some want to use the story to to paint keegan in a good light then they have to take all the story including those bits that dont.
-
Laughable really, all 3 would have been good signings and the defender we did get was massively overpriced and has less resale value than two of them anyway. but if it's true he also wanted lampard, henry et al. which way do you want it ?
-
in what way. (remember if you want to take some of it as gospel you have to accept it all.......you can;t just pick at the bits that fit your idea) It is just so f***ing bizarre that what makes it interesting, this club is always way out there but that article makes us sound even more left field than we usually are. I think there are elements of truth in it like the Rio bit but Beasley is going to add a bit of spin for his mate & the x-captain of the club he supports. Good read all the same. the problem with it is that the keegan bummers will use it as proof that keegan had no say whereas the anti-keegans willl use it as proof that keegan agreed to the structure and wanted unreasonable signings. until it goes to court we'll never find out....even then it may be a bit opaque. In terms of a measurement on the bumometer, Keegan often gets a ten (pneumatic drill) on this site. The court case outcome will be very interesting. if keegan is vindicated in court no douubt i'll be remembered not as a fence sitter but as a die hard ashleyite.
-
was phil dwyer the scorer ?...i remember that day, me and some mates walked along the railway lines to the airport then followed the ouseburn for a bit on the way back. i had my radio to listen to the match reports (no live commentary in those days). is the ninian still there ? do they still serve brains bitter ? is victoria (?) park still there ? i signed a petition to keep it open when there to see pedro beardsleys first goal for us. do you still have swansea fans as stewards who work there just so they can fight with you lot ? they did back then.

Only if I'm playing you, big boy. not after last time. you stunk out the changers with your "denim for men"
