  1. china----communist ? where you been ?
  2. i'd agree. why is owen copping it all though ? more scapegoatism ?
  3. as i've already said...why just him ? surely martins viduka etc come in for this aswell.
  4. NO? thats up alongside kevin brocks non appearance cos he had a headache.
  5. i don't think anyone believes that...least of all you. good try though.
  6. rooney up front and being able to switch with ronaldo and maybe tevez would be unplayable...but sir alex says only ronaldo is allowed to drift. that decision, in my humble opinion cost man utd the champions league title (tee hee)
  7. he's not what we need or needed last season. we aren't what he needs or needed last season.
  8. ties in with my "see others aswell" argument.
  9. so in short.........he's been shit as have many others...hasn't cared, like so many others,he gets paid the most which wasn't his fault but lets single him out. and yes he has probably suffered more by being in a shit team.
  10. Keegan didn't abandon the club, he was forced out by Ashley. Had this argument before, he walked out on us. Not for the first time either. Well, all your current effort means is you've failed to learn anything from this previous argument you had assuming someone of intelligence tried to get the obvious into your heed. Fact is, any manager worthy of the name is not going to be happy without control over which players come in and which players go out. The club is in my blood but I'd walk away if I was working under those conditions. Only a spineless tw*t wouldn't and only a moron would expect someone to work under those conditions. Cheers is that why he went first time round then ? Which first time are you referring to ? The time when we were in the second division and SJH had promised him funds and lied to him or the time when we were floated on the stock exchange and the priorties of the board changed from team building to making cash for themselves? the time he actually walked when some restraints were put on him....every manager has some restraints, some are higher than others. Do u really think he wanted to leave? For f***s sake we had just came off a second place finish and looking good to win it. KK had to commit to 4 years with circumstational changes and didnt feel he could promise he would be there that long. In came Dalglish to do the job KK was expected to do - balance the books to keep the shareholders happy. looking good to win it ? oh no we weren't. have a check at how much dalglish spent. circumstances change all the time and managers leave before their contracts are up all the time. are you saying keegan left first time round because he wasn't going to be able to spend without hinderance. £7.65m. What's your point? the point is that he was given money to spend, very much like keegan at the start, little bits then (had they kept him)probably larger bits) when you look at it we've gone through spells of spend spend spend then scrimp scrimp scrimp as if we had no set plan.

the irony would be lost if the newcastle online community took bananas to the match when he made his debut.

  13. Keegan didn't abandon the club, he was forced out by Ashley. proof needed. So you believe Keegan made the decision regarding all of the players who were brought in? haven't got a clue......do you think it's possible keegan wanted players out of the clubs reach or planned pay structure in order to press his authority ? (rumour always had it thats why he got peter garland...just to prove that the club would buy any old shit he wanted)

Cheers is that why he went first time round then ? Some might argue that the club becoming a PLC was a turning point Keegan identified as tying his hands in his efforts to continue improving the team, so not quite the same but the same result at the end of the day, ie, he's unable to strengthen the team. I've answered your question but I'm not sure why you even asked it, given that it's irrelevant when it comes to Ashley failing to back Keegan, unless you back Ashley. I haven't been following the forum for quite a while now. Are you an Ashley fanboy, madras? so keegan left because he was asked to work under cash constraints that most managers in the world have to ? not quite an ashley fanboy (but at the time i did think it was time for fred to go). as regards the keegan situation i think too many are backing personalities . keegan has form in trying to play power games to get his way and when all comes to all we haven't got a clue what went on those few months. i'd like it to go to court and the facts to come out so we did know. (i believe if the situation was reversed and keegan had been the in the wise position and vice versa then the majority would still back keegan....no proof needed it's all personality so far)

  17. Yes, but the KK question does offer a reminder of how things tend to drag on with Mr Ashley. In February Llambias was claiming a settlement with KK would be reached in couple of weeks. Three months later it’s starting to look like he was lying. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/newcastle/4838237/Newcastle-United-close-to-settlement-with-former-manager-Kevin-Keegan.html jumping to a bit of a conclusion there i think. for example it was said there would be a conclusion shortly to the bank charges thing and it still goes on.......there is no time where the law is concerned, almost as if they drag it out to earn more. even then it doesn't even begin to tell us the important thing of what actually happened.

  19. dunno bout that. didn't robson decide on that sort of thing and inform them. money would reccomend and give his opinion but i'm sure the actual keeping/letting go would be decided higher up.
  20. thank god that never turned out to be true eh
  21. Clicky you'll forgive me for not clicking. i suspect it'll be a rick roll and as soon as you hear the tune you know i'll be stuck for 5 mins giving you time to take the car stereo.
  22. Pretty much sums that place up, full of loons i've been looking over there the last few days and apparently there are, according to them, the majority of nufc fans think shearer will solve all, all we need to do is get rid of the waste and we'll be fine.........either they are lying or some mags are on the wind up as i haven't met any nufc fans who are thinking that.
  23. Also represented in the last 5 finals, and three of four semi-finalists for the last three seasons. Barca, AC Milan and PSV are the only non-English sides to have knocked out an English club in those last three seasons. Barca's sweet, sweet victory last night and their semi win against Chelsea were the only times an English side has been beaten by a continental side since the 2007 final, I believe. Barca and Milan are the only non-English sides to have appeared in the final since 2004. That's pretty dominant. How much of that is down to timing and circumstances with respect to the other major competitors though? Real Madrid are going through a rebuilding period (and even though they're s*** at the moment, the best player in the Premiership playing for the biggest club in the Premiership is desperate to sign for them), a result of their constant chopping and changing and undermining of their managers since Del Bosque. Milan and Juve were hit hard by the match fixing scandals, which has propelled Inter to champions when they never had the team to be that in the first place. Both are also in the process of rebuilding their teams. That's three clubs who would normally be looking to challenge for the CL, and would provide strong competition for the top Premiership sides, yet for different reasons unrelated to the emergence of Premiership clubs, they aren't able to do so at this point in time. These three clubs are giants in the game, and will always attract the best players, so it's surely only a matter of time before they get back to their previous standards. so does that mean you agree that english teams are dominating ? hey it's that circumstances thing that means nufc aren't in the champs league.
