  1. cos they sell them in deals to tv companies, but i do agree with the point your making. Liverpool have one for 50 quid a year, can't see why we couldn't do the same. can't watch live prem games on it though
  2. Carlisle? citeh may be rich but i doubt they could bid carlisle for given.........floods too easy anyway
  3. if true, i'm astounded we are getting cash for him.
  4. Mad, i will be 41, when this game takes place, whilst im not overweight, i cant run anymore,..i hadnt played, im not kidding 11 a side since 1990, its worth it for that one moment in the match, when you get the opportunity to get the old magic out and show these young boys how its done. all i need is 10minutes......1 minute to show what i had.....8 minutes to recover then 1 minute to kick wullie. sounds like my game on sunday, except i tried to kick Nixon and couldnt even catch that non-athlete. there's a thought. it's like one of those 1 bullet 2 target scenarios.

  6. surely you'll want putting down afterwards............or if old man madras gets passed you.
  7. just been thinking. if this game takes place and i play,i'll be very close to 42yrs and a bit overweight...haven't played a competitive game (5-a-side) since sept 1999, 11-a-side since may 1999. could be highly embarassing for someone should i skin therm where as i'm old and out of shape and therefore have nowt to lose.
  8. so we've agreed fees for these loans, their clubs seem willing to let them go...............anyone asked the players themselves yet ?
  9. Theres a lot of 'willing it to be true' too. He sounds just like the German finance minister willing the British economy to fail. Quite typical of the Germans actually, I was in Berlin most of last week and one of the big discussions was how much the NHS is on German telly, with them saying how thats falling apart too. A pattern emerging? I don't think he's willing failure more heralding it. I think the German financial minister was probably doing the same. I think most of Europe would welcome the English game losing it's financial clout and a return to a more level playing field and that seems to be happening. In general I think Germans admire the English game and are less anti than some other nations about our recent dominance. As an Englishman I would like to see the possibilty of a Czech, Romanian or Bulgarian side competing seriously in the European cup as a club built on tradition and national talent rather than 4 English clubs who have bought success and have virtually no local players. (Man Utd excluded - credit where due) You mean Platini? Agreed about the general sentiment but the idea of an open free market for labour, goods and services across the EU wasnt our idea, it was franco-german. When its not to their advantage, they lobby for changes that re-set the system back to their advantage. Personally think, f*** em. doesn't every country do that.....we've done it enough in the EU.
  10. If Ronaldo's agent had been quoted in the press saying Real had been ringing him up, then that would be pretty decent proof. reals general manager said he had already agreed a deal and was in talks most of the summer.
  11. Unless he and his agent are lying, then the fact other clubs are talking to him means we have given him permission to look for another club, so why would he need to hand in a transfer request? Rubbish. Things haven't worked like that for the last 10 years. If ever. Then I guess we can look forward to the club reporting N'Zogbia's agent, Villa, Spurs and Lyon to the PL/UEFA, as it's a clear case of tapping up and we have the evidence in the form of direct quotes in print. You seem to be making something out of nothing tbh. Clubs ask agents about their players all the time, look at the comments from Geremi's agent yesterday. “I’ve had phone calls from Turkey and that’s as far as it’s gone,” Silkman told setanta.com. “I’ve had several calls, but as of yet nothing has been followed up. At this moment it’s a bit of a moot point because there’s no offer as such. “All we’ve had is ‘would he be interested?’ or ‘what’s his salary?’ and ‘what would be his transfer fee?’ Obviously this thing probably goes on regardless of the club giving permission, but it's tapping up unless the club has given permission first. End of. No agent with an ounce of intelligence would blatantly admit it to the press unless they were on safe ground and the club had given it's permission. Obviously Geremi has been told he can look for a new club too. People are slagging off N'Zogbia for looking for a transfer, and elbee was saying he should put in a transfer request. I'm just pointing out that unless his agent is completely stupid and is happy to openly flaunt the laws of the of the game, he has already been given permission to look for a new club. on the other hand...think christiano ronaldo and real madrid or man utd with numerous players. the agent and the tapping up club just say "prove it"
  12. count me IN! (left midfield/lazy centre forward)
  13. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1512448,00.html A complete contradiction of what Kinner said after picking Cacapa ahead of Bassong for the Fulham game when he defended his decision to play Cacapa and said "everyone at he club thinks Cacapa is better than Bassong." you'll have to find a link for that quote.
  14. i'm sure jonas checks his stride aswell before trying to get the shot in........and not forgetting the ball falling to n'zog 18yds out and he mis controls it when lashing the bastard towards the goal was the sensible option.
  15. the game changed when he came on. as much to do with we had a central midfielder who would move forward even just a bit ,more than anything he actually done with the ball. another change that happened around that time was that gutierrez and duff decided not to just stick to their respective wings so we had a bit of MOVEMENT even with them occasionally popping up on the same side (even with the bloke behind me screaming at them to get on their own wings)
  16. undecided as to wether that is sarcasm towards someone or not
  17. it basically means you can;t score from any corner or free kick anymore as there is always that sort of contact
  18. neither midfield done anything defensivly which made for an open game. they probably had the better of it but we had the more and better chances. andy carroll (whom i didn't want on the pitch at the start) man of the match ahead of bassong.
  19. richard offiong (hamilton) calvin zola makongo (crewe)
  20. hope so. got reading and bastia in a double....for whom P. Andre has just scored (surely not?)........had strasbourg in a treble but that game has been postponed.
  21. Not really true i remember being at St James in the 80's and the place rocking and the dross that was on the pitch then was unreal it was rocking if you were in amongst it. the atmosphere was shit listening from the centre paddock on the occasions i took advantage of my uncles season ticket instead of paying for the gallowgate.
  22. why not have allocated seating then let people move to any free seasts within the same stand or tier if they are free,if they want. (or what already happens)
