good player. omnipitent . 3 players in one apparantly.
-
if they come out and say "we are working to get in the quality we think we need,we are looking,we are talking,we are working on things" the reply on here will be "heard it all before,it's easy to say that, lets see some signings". better off saying nowt IMO.

didn't realise it was a comp to see who could sign the most. anyway i have about 60% confidence in the team at SJP.
-
As long as its not 5:15 I'll be happy. Would rather Sunday 4pm, but I can't see them leaving the current champs and their successors until then 5-15 on saturday is perfect (even better than 3pm IMO). only 12midday sunday is worse than 12-45 saturday.

http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sports-news/Dickov-punched-in-Barton-bust.4238140.jp according to the blackpool gazzette barton also punched paul dickov who tried to stop his attack on dabo. (that should take 3 months off any sentence)
-
Not really. Mutu took drugs whilst under contract with Chelsea. We signed Barton after he'd already assaulted Dabo. 2 very different sets of circumstances. he was imprisoned for the leverpool city centre attack not the dabe one . as such we didn't know that one was coming .

wasn't there a post on an everton board that night with someone saying they'd seen him about 10pm and the ammount of stick he was taking was ridiculous. no excuse but understandable. should have walked away after decking him the first time.
-
load of rubbish on and off the pitch. as someone who grew up in the days of ron harris, tommy smith etc we never kicked others all over. you don't see kids diving cos ronaldo does it.

Mort is a lawyer but he has nothing to do with either criminal law or employment law. This is what ACAS have to say on this matter. If an employee is charged with, or convicted of, a criminal offence not related to work, this is not in itself reason for disciplinary action. The employer should establish the facts of the case and consider whether the matter is serious enough to warrant starting the disciplinary procedure. The main consideration should be whether the offence, or alleged offence, is one that makes the employee unsuitable for their type of work. Similarly, an employee should not be dismissed solely because they are absent from work as a result of being remanded in custody. We knew about the alleged offence so we wouldn't have a leg to stand on if we sacked him unless he'd signed something in his contract to say that he hadn't committed the offence. the offence for which he is currently under sentence we didn't know about at that time and he has been sentenced not remanded.

should do but mightened.the sentences might run concurrently.

Contradicting yourself. You said a few posts up a defenders main job is to defend, so by that logic a strikers main job is to score.. and Villa scored the most, so he was hardly mediocre. Better to score a goal a game in four games than it is to score a hattrick in one, one in another, then not score in two games. Fact is that Villa didn't step it up in the latter stages. What is the name of that Yugoslavian striker in Euro 2000? if that is the one who scored a hat-triack against spain then signed for valencia it's been bugging me for for a week or two

normally i'd say its contact with the player that counts but the way ferguson has whined on about ronaldo when he done exactly the same witrh ferdinand is taking the piss. And Hargreaves, Saha.... The media driven campaign to get Rooney to Man Utd is exactly what Madrid are now doing to get Ronaldo. They've got a taste of their own medicine and don't like it. oh come on the rooney thing was over three days. this ronaldo one has been on going since 1967

overasll it's been a very enjoyable tournament (and i broke even). what i enjoyed best was the supposed 2nd tier teams (turkey, austria, switzerland) attacked their supposed betters and made games of it.
-
i thought that. remembering spain-sweden and italy. they werent as good against teams that were physical and worked them (think germany-portugal). still think the dutch were probably the best team in the tournament

No, Bent is a pretty limited player. With Guiza you've got the hold up play and aerial ability as well as the pace, power and finishing. so you don't suppose he's came on when they've been playing well and the oppsosition asa chasing the game ? At the end of the day, the 45 minutes I've seen for myself are enough. You see what he is good at, and you can learn about his style of play, and then you can consider his status both as a Spanish international, and Spanish league top scorer, you can tell that he is good enough. i see that he can exploit teams who are pushing on when playing ina a good team. my guess is he wont go to a good team and thias time next season you'll have forgot about him and his lack of headlines won't bother you.

Looks canny but he's 27 (assuming we are rigidly looking at young lads) and apparantly on the way to Turkey. No older than Arshavin, and like Arshavin pre-Euro 2008, I believe that he is the best option for his particular position on the market. dear me james...when you grow up it's only going to take a short skirt and low top to impress you isn't it. Name a target man striker, whom we could realistically sign, whom is better than Guiza. guiza isn't a target man striker from what i've seen. why didn't you mention him before his substitute appearances in this tournament ?

I always used to mock people who thought he sounded boring, but during this tournament ive consistently felt the urge to put my head on the pillow every time he's opened his mouth. Only states the obvious, repeats himself often in a monotonous fashion (even from game to game), rarely says anything controversial, and his jokes are plain and simple woeful. then again martin o'neill sounds like a charva who wants a fight (which he most certainly aint)

if it's any consolation i got more from avoiding releagtion at filbert street than winning the league the season after at blundell park.
-
the dutch were the best for me. spain V sweden and greece werent good to watch. deserved the win tonight though. holland-spain would have been THE final
-
watch him in the german league!! bit like saying benzema and anelka are crap based on this tournament.
