but your forgetting things like his goal at sunderland which was a cross into the perfect area for forwards to attack. i doubt beckham at his best would get much quality in with what we have to aim for. only owen regularly gambles on "those" positions.

I agree. Tony Daley at our place was the fastest player I've seen, faster than Agbonlahor, but with absolutely no clue what to do with the ball when he ran out of space to run into. Ashley Young is nowhere near as fast, but can cross very well. James Milner has little pace but is also a very good crosser of the ball. Decent wingers will create space. at villa he did and the crowd there loved him. the question should be why can he do it there but not here ? what differing circumstances are there ? did he have someone to aim for at villa ?

how do you know that aye, this needs answering

only if the billionaire wants to hoy more cash at it. ...well seen as he's already put in £200m (inc debt reduction) its not something I'm worried about. we could get a quality mourinho type manager if he he was told "you'll have a £200mill transfer kitty" and pay him top wages. however that type of manager wont want to know if he's told "you can only spend what we create as a business" i suppose our next appointment will see this answered one way or t'other

we didn't expect magical results but after 19 games and 7 months you'd expect some sign of improvment, not the feeling that the performances arethe same as the last 2 mangers who at least would atempt to win away games. "not playing well at the moment"... that moment has lasted since august. we played well 1st half at bolton, then against spurs and arsenal. don't fall into the trap that we beat west ham and everton seemingly comfortably because we didn't play well and there were long spells in both games when we were under the cosh.
-
Its sad to say but that is exactly right. 1 result against a weaker side can just be put down to a one off but to struggle against Derby twice, Wigan, Fulham, Sunderland, Birmingham has to have something to do with the manager/tactics/coaching. don't forget reading, boro and not having a shot on target at home to villa.

I'll eagerly await the "big four" apart from Chelsea and most of the rest of the teams in the league going into administration then. ok then clevershite... "the quickest way is to spend money you don't have to the extent that it reaches a point where the financial institutions start wanting there money back or making it very hard to borrow again resulting in losing more and more money and the debts keep rising till you hit a leeds type scenario"

You would have said the same about the SJP expansion 5 years ago And? 5 years ago no one could have predicted that we would be in the freefall that we were at the end of Fred's time. That's stunning, don't you think? 10 years ago I don't think many predicted that we'd be in financial trouble and our future would be looking seemingly bleak. That's the main thing I've been trying to say so far, though god knows I've tried my best to sound as confusing as possible. ??? And in 5 years time Wenger may have let and Arsenal may be struggling to get 8th place in the Premier league. You've said exactly what I was getting at, the Emirates looks sound now, SJP look sound 5 years ago Aye, the MANAGER makes a massive difference, which is where we went wrong with the appointment of Souness, obviously. .....or even the sacking of SBR? didn't hear too many voices against it at the time. Never mind, after today, do you hope the club continue carrying on putting the books first, standby for more real mediocrity or worse. I thought when the Halls and Shepherd left, all this mediocrity would come to an end. I reckon we need a few of these quality trophy players to get up the league a bit, don't you yes as i'm pretty sure a different manager could have the current personnel playing well. on the other hand would you like the club to go to the wall through chasing too much. ? i suggest a happy medium. the one sure way to go to the wall quicker than any other is to buy s*** footballers, or buy no footballers the quickest way is to spend money you don't have.

a plan that involved gifting sunderland points aswell ?
-
thats wrong. everyone knows we are at best "in transition" but sending teams to those mentioned aiming for a draw is shit. i wouldn't mind getting beat off those but the manner of it is what has lost the fans.

i voted "get rid"

I did buy into "pitch" but my car is driving OK thankyou very much. It's not a Ferrari no, but I'm happy with it for the time being. the car is allright but it needs a mechanic to sort it out. the timing is way off and it is spewing out shite all over the place. wont pass it's MOT in this condition but it is easy fixed by someone who has a fucking clue

Overcome those managers who despite their time in the job and ability to build a team, are only a few points ahead of us? My answer is time and some extra money. it's not just the points. think of being lucky snatching points in the last minutes of games where we barely deserved anything. we could quite easily be 10points worse off without complaint. Ifs and buts. We are as a team exactly where we are in the table. well i don't think we will be at the end of the season. a mid table finish seems optimistic now. like i said it's not just the points. we are playing no better than the fulhams and wigams of this world and it's probably where we'll finish

neither of those managers woyuld send to wigan, derby, sunderland, boro or fulham with the intention of holding out for a draw. right now i'd take shearer or jol instead of allardyce. if ashley is planning on spending serious cashthen we can attract a better manager. What have Moyes, O'Neill, Redknapp and Hughes all got in common? They've all had TIME! I've already posted all their respective records, make of it what you will. n They have all at one time or another went on the road to a lesser side looking for a draw, all managers do. Oddly enough Allardyce at Bolton used to go to such grounds looking for wins so I don't know what's going on in his head where us on the road are concerned. at one time or another.......not every time. sometime it may be necessary according to circumstances, not under allardyce though,it's every away game and seemingly a good few home games.
