nope...too cautious perhaps

yes we can drop geremi. another thing about geremi,he's played most his football in this country wide right (at boro and chelsea) or right back(chelsea) yet some are having a go at allardyce for playing 4 central midfielders V reading......which is he ?
-
i think it's down to the fact we never mark in midfield,so when we play away the home teams commits more men forward leaving him to do more work (it's called "the gary speed scenario")
-
What are the reasons iyo SA isn't aware of/gives credence to this stuff? Seems very set in his ways. don't know about him being set in his ways,he has ditched his 4-3-3 for the time being and he didn't start off at bolton with it,he has in the past adapted.....bloody well hope he adapts before a week on saturday!

What a load of s****! We played good football against Spurs, Everton, Wigan, Man City (first half), Bolton (first half), and West Ham. If you were to say we haven't played good football away from home then I'd mostly agree with you, but you're talking absolute tripe to say we haven't played good football at all this season. Just typical murmourings of a impatient fan.... you are confusing "playing good football" with "playing marginally better than the opposition". even V citeh when we were a goal up we were hardly much the better team.
-
i think crouch is a lot better than most give him credit for,my fear is the football allardyce would have us playing with him to aim for.
-
yes allardyce they played crap at citeh and they must take some of the blame for it but are you going to take blame aswell for your tactics in that game ?
-
if allardyce attempts the same tactics in the next away game he will get slaughtered off the fans.(and rightly so)

do you consider Mark Hughes a success at Blackburn? do you consider Boothroyd a success at Watford? do you consider redknapp a success at Pompey? yes juries out yes. would you consider them to be good managers had they managed poorly for the previous 12 years more often than not,not seeing out a full year in charge of the club they were in charge of ? How can the jury be out on Boothroyd when he has already lead a team that were predicted to at the most reack the top half of the table to a promotion and are currently top of the championship? cos they also got relegated and this season has a long way to go. is allardyce a success at nufc cos we are doing better then we were before he came ? Totally different as Boothroyd as achieved a promotion and Allardyce hasnt actually achieved anything YET. he's also achieved a relegation, have you forgot ?

You've forgot Jose Mourinho, add him to the list. and helps the blind to see

away from home i'm definitly unhappy with the way we are playing under allardyce.

what did he bottle ? He was always threatening to quit over one thing or another, in the end the going got tough so he jumped ship, he's never had the guts to see out a rough patch in any job he's had. I was a big fan of Keegan when I was younger but the day he went on telly and gave it the "I'd love it" speech I felt embarrassed for the bloke and knew it was men against boys as far as him and Fergie was concerned. never had the guts to see out a rough patch.......the patch finishing sixth after selling andy cole, facing the fans and bringing in kitson was rougher than the one where he resigned. we really don't know why he resigned, keegans story changes and dougie hall claimed he got rid of him......what makes you so sure you know the truth ?

Unfortunately the Owen comment is spot-on and has been my feeling for a good while now. He does not fit into what Allardyce wants to do with this team, away from home in particular, and I'm not sure how much longer Big Sam will stretch to accommodate him while it's costing us points. Say what you will about 4-5-1, but it can't be much worse than what we saw today with 4-4-2. not necessarily, you can't say what allardyce wants to do.
-
would i be wrong in thinking he's took them from 6th(before he joined) to 5th and 3rd winning two uefa cups....how much was there before him ? for all winning the uefa cup would be lovely will that experience help him in the prem in any way ? have a look at his form pre 2005.
-
Tell me about this success then as I've read up on him and fail to see anything that depicts a manager who is being described as a mix of Mourinho, Wenger and Ferguson tbh. you really are stoopid scy, ramos has been a success at every club he's been at beginning in 93-94,which accounts for why he's very rarely spent more than a season or so at a club...................and he doesn't have a reputation for resigning....2+2 =?
-
but we lost, like at derby, pitifully and attempting to hold out for a draw. for what it's worth i'm pretty sure had roeder won us the league we wouldn't have got shot........IF !
-
yet again allardyce's tactics on the road cost us points, his fetish with clean sheets is beginning to piss me off. the idea is to outscore the opposition not just stop them scoring, for me the best way for a team to defend is to have possession of the ball in the oppo's half. if he'llput out teams like he has for trips to derby and reading i'm dreading going to old trafford or stamford bridge.
-
the prority would seem to be a big quality goalscoring centre forward, i don't think martins/owen will work long term and viduka is having probably his last full(?) season. this big thing about pace is strange as in the past we've had plenty of fast players who were shit, give me technique a football brain and desire before pace every time.
-
anyone know if the n'zog substitution was due to injury or tactical ?
-
look ,if you're not gonna slag the team off and criticise you're not welcome on here, you, you praiser you!
-
i'll give beye the benefit so far but with his experience he should look more settled than enrique, give it a month for beye as enrique is settling nicely(next couple of aways should testy them both nicely) as for the centre of defence i've liked all i've seen from rozenhal and would prefer him against the quicker/mobile attacks, like spuds tonight ? it's nice that we now have the battle over places.
