As you've appeared, with a daft remark, perhaps you could reply to this and show all the younger lads you have the knowledge you think you do. Names etc to back up your claims [which are complete tosh, but there you go] which you have avoided to date. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=52559.msg1314753#msg1314753 In answer to your above, Keegan has said this on numerous occasions, as have some of the players he signed the first time. perhaps you would like to explain the 3 years leading to jan 2008,managerial appointments, finances and why you think it was going to improve ? (have fun on the rest of the forum lads, i'll keep him occupied here) I'm rather pleased for you that you appear to think that the new board have equalled those Champions League qualifications, as you appear to think they are "better". I can't wait for all these 17 year old kids to turn into the new Maldini's. Also hope those other 19 pesky clubs in the premiership don't have the same idea that we've had in trying to find them, now why didn't anybody think of this before mackems.gif Are you another one of those who slate the people that attracted you back to the club ? mackems.gif mackems.gif no...i said the 3 years to jan 2008 and what made you think it would improve ? oh, appointing a good manager and backing him [ie like the ones who reached a couple of Cup Finals and qualified for europe more than everybody in the country bar 4 clubs] always improves things. Shame that the current manager is unhappy with his backing, which nobody has complained about for nearly 20 years, and he didn't himself during his first stint, but I'm sure you know best and assure us he was only joking 2 weeks ago. But you being a KBJ, or a naive little lad, won't understand. oh dearie me......does the phrase "not like it said in the brochure" ring a bell or that keegan left becuase he wouldn't get the backing he wanted with the club as a PLC ? KBJ ? don't think so naive little kid........not at 40 how many times do i have to ask you to look at the position we were in at that time as opposed to years before ?

I'm not pissed at all thanks, just keeping on topic http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=52796.msg1328506#msg1328506 third paragraph. still no names then ? Pathetic. still no answer as to why you think even after appointing sounees, roeder and allardyce racking up debts galore you thought they'd improve ? i don't mind them using us as a cash cow when we are succesful but when we are struggling it smacks of tasking the piss. try and focus on where we were headed last summer and for the previous couple of years rather than what they had done on the back of good appointments. a bit like saying we ought to get davies and robson (just for you...knew you'd like that) as they done well for us in the past)

Your wrong. The Academy Director is the person who had did have major input who joins, stays & goes at Acadmeny level, will he be able to operate in freedom to dump the chosen men choices? Or will he only be able to dump the local lads who failed? I don't think I'm wrong. If the club are going out and spending money bringing in young players then I'd think they would have the first team manager make any decisions over whether they stay or not, it's not as if the lads being brought in are not old enough to sign a professional contract anyway (so far) so as far as the club are concerned they're good enough to come in past the mark where the academy director would have his say whether they can stay or or not. i'd like to think the first team manager would trust the advice and views of the academy manager but would overule him if he thinks he's spotted a talent that may have been missed.

after scouting the fella on youtube, he reminds of ginola, the close control, the way he goes past players but a distinct lack of goals on those clips.(though according to wiki he scores about 1 in 3 apps)

how good is this. i am watching both the inter and roma games on a half and half screen on the laptop. shame i'm off to work in 30mins
-
theres a lot more to it than that. What more is it than that? a feeling that the area is your home and a part of you.......he lost that years ago. With him living near Manchester & being board member of Man Utd as well as Manchester United legend , I can see how these things happen. yet i would still class his brother as a geordie

i've took both milan and roma in a cheeky 5-timer (should have included hoffernheim and mainz but betfairs server for multiples wasn't working....both winning at half time)
-
theres a lot more to it than that. i know many die hard geordies who support teams outside the area.
-
plastic manc shurley ? doesn't even give pretend of being a geordie anymore. (quite pleased we aren't associated with the hypocritical git) true as many say. the worst thing about man utd is the attitude that "we can do this but you can't" both on and off the pitch.

quoted as saying it is "unethical and undermining" the way real madrid are courting ronaldo. did he forget the way they wooed rio ferdinand, tapped up jaap stam (and allegedly mexes)without getting their clubs permission ?
-

-
If it is expect a rumour war. they are already after everyone......how can we compete in a rumour war ?
-
How about letting Keegan give him a good go at it next season and then assessing him? going to extend that to emre aswell ?
