Whatever happened to him,he was at your lot wasnt he SAFC? Aye he had a 6 game loan spell, from Man Utd, in the same season as Given did at Roker. He wasn't owt special but he got 1 or 2 assists if I recall rightly. Last I heard he was playing in America after a spell in the lower divisions. Brett Angel Phil Gray Martin Smith Kim Helsingborg Dariuz Kubicki Steve Agnew Sam Aiston. footballers ? Harsh man, very harsh. We got Aiston from you lot as well. In fact all the rest bar Helsingborg played at least a season at Sunderland, and they weren't that bad (well apart from Brett Angel). phil gray was a cracking bloke Yeah? I remember him most for scoring a brilliant 40 yard volley away to Grimsby many moons ago. Ah, memories. i remember him on the quayside telling us why he wouldn't live in sunderland.don't worry mate not a mindless slagging off, took the piss out of toon fans aswell but hammered sunderland as a place.

tim cahill is a t***,peacock isn't I meant as what he does for the team not his persona dunno like, cahill plays centre attackin midfield, peacock played there sometime, right back aswell but mainly up front and on the right. however gavin peacock is a very gpood call as a random 90's footballer funny how time plays tricks on the mind....had Peacock down as an attacking midfielder who occassionally played upfront, not the other way round.. he was,but the promotion season he played almost exclusivly up front, season before he played all over...i honestly thought even at chelsea he'd make the england squad as an attacking midfielder

Yes... though a draw would mean that Charlton & West Ham would have to win the next three games (we'd need to lose them all) and Charlton would have to close a 14 goal difference gap to beat us on goal difference. So while a draw would not make it impossible it would make it highly improbable. And now that I am looking at the table I think tomorrow would be a good time to blood some of our academy lads and give them some first team action... maybe try a few "experiemental formations" while we're at it. don't do that tomorrow as the possibility of taking a hiding won't help their development and how would we feel if going for the title some team plays kids against the nearest competitor.as much as i hate the mancs(i'd rather chelsea won the lot than man uure won the league or champs lge)it's not on.

steve bruce is probably the 90's est of all 90's footballers

From memory, I think the Ginola sale was more down to Dalglish - probably saw him more as a 'luxury' player when he was trying to tighten us up with a 'defensive' style of play, and probably couldn't handle him, unlike Keegan. For the same thing, basically think of how Laurent Robert was handled by Robson and Sounes respectively. In my opinion, Ginola was great when he first arrived - noone knew how to deal with him. However, he got kicked up-a-heigth at Arsenal one night, got sent off for reacting, and never seemed the same player for us again. He was also linked with Barcelona which seemed to turn his head. It wierd how the club never seems to handle 'Gallic' players very well - you wonder how long Cantona would have lasted, has he found his way up the A1??!!!! What was annoying was that Ginola went on to be the best player in the Premiership for Spurs in his first season for them. PFA and FW player of the year, some spectacular wonder goals, and all round top form throughout the season. and yet he wasn't as good as he was in his first season here

the "truth" was arty cox wanted beardsley instead of varadi.......any complaints.the problem is in a place like newcastle we prefer scandalous lies.

i'd play harper solano bramble taylor carr dyer butt parker milner sibierski martins
-
remember robson stated he chose every player who came and went, then he didn't,now it seems all those who were successes were his choices, all those who weren't were someone elses.i'll bet if gary speed had been shit at bolton it would have been robsons decision to offload him.
-
for all it's true that years ago people some people would support both newcastle and them, more so those from the middle lands of hebburn ,jarrow etc(anyone ever heard of many from walker or the west end hopping off to joker park to support the black cats?)the rivalry is historic, there are stories about differing support during the civil war and a friends grandad hated mackems because of the amount of durham miners who worked through the general strike. even away from football they have always had a chip on their shoulders towards newcastle and we have played on it. newcastle largest home defeat was by them, however we went on to win the league that season!(1908-09) from a neutral point of view it's probably not the biggest derby in britain, but many think it's the hateful

butt's rehab has little to do with any manager, more to do with having a tiny bit of movement around him so when he gets the ball he can give it simply, which he is very good at as opposed to having to try 40yd balls because everyone is standing still.

FFS this forum is full of aspergers, taking every quote literally. d'you really expect roeder to say "no i don't see how i could play them together no matter what the circumstances" would benitez say "no i couldn't play kuyt, bellamy, crouch and fowler together under any circumstances" lesson 1 "find a story about nufc" lesson 2 "find a way to be negative and slag them off"

every palyer is available......yes i'd sell owen, not sure on what the price would be though
