So, you're foreign to Newcastle or Newcastle is foreign to you? I guess, since I was born in the Toon but moved to Canada at a young age and was raised here, that Newcastle are my "Top Foreign Club". If you want to get into logistics. eh ? it's got nothing to do with foreign or otherwise.i acn only support one club. as for those abovethey are doing what they despise others doing over here,ie supporting the big clubs because they are more likely to win.
-
vast majority a bunch of fucking glory hunters ,nearly all supporting top teams in their countries. there is one team, that is Newcastle United

O'Neill's record is no better than Souness, tbh. True but his list of skills outnumber Souness' skills by far, and this for me, not success or the CV, is the best way to judge a manager - on their skill set. class coach, just class, slipping in some made up rubbish and seeing if anyone realises.
-
aye, pleased he never really had an important decision to make.

Emre started upfront after Dyer went off, or 'off the striker', whatever. But then after about 5 minutes CNZ went up top Emre was definitely playing off Martins for a bit, but I couldn't really see where Zog was supposed to be playing. It was definitely in CM at first and he drifted forward later on, but I don't think even he knew where he should've been. He didn't help Martins out much. from where i was sat it looked like emre made the change to put n'zog up and drop himself back into midfield. pretty good display but lacking a cutting edge, milner and butt top men, closely followed by taylor and carr then solano.

Newcastle submit £300m plans to develop SJP - Official
madras replied to kirkwdavis2001's topic in Football
anyone mentioned how strange it is that a board so divided, major shareholders want out etc can announce a £300mill building exercise.surely those shareholders desperate to get out wouldn't take on such an undertaking. -
could it be he was asked at the clubs "day before match " press conference.if he'd said "it's got nowt to do with me really" he'd still get slagged off. is there a growing "let's slag off roeder whichever way he answers" agenda ?
-
anyone in milan for our game will know the way the local plod react to the behaviour of the home fans.strangly though for all the bravado in the stadium there was no sign of them outside by the time we got out.......wonder why. best coppers abroad were in metz

i've been in drinkeries when both have been there.dyer was quiet and seemed embarassed that people were staring etc.woodgate was quiet then behaved like a twat as the drinks went down. not just a one off as i've seen it a couple of times
-
better off going with oddschecker, then checking best odds with them, then joining the best one,i'm registered with quite a few now so i can pick who gives the best odds.
-
why do you only count summer spending ? (woodgate.boumsong incoming) edit...read the entire post first man madras you mong madras replies ...aye so i jumped in too early, however he should realise big turnover doesn't mean we have lots to spend

true but a twat and thoroughly dislikable person after a drink, quite shy sober but a twatful person when in sniffing distance of the barmaids apron.
-
paul sweeney........utter shit with psychopathic tendancies, some liked him cos he gave 100%,100% of shit is still shit. albert luque..........i'm sure no explaination is necessary andy cole........fantastic player but someone it is very hard to like.

how was it embarrassing ? his agent admitted he nearly came here and i think he says in his autobiog that if the mancs hadn't come on for him he would probably have gone to newcastle
-
wasn't the owen bid just a rouse to get people to buy season tickets,as was the rooney bid,all be it a couple of weeks after the season started.
-
for many the tipping point for souness was the wigan reserves game in league cup,was today the next tipping point ?
-
shit,we are making a habit of this.

i think he bothered, just didn't think davies, upson, neill were worth the money. disagree about putting the kids in. Then he was wrong. We have one of the worst centre backs, and worst left backs, in the premiership. We're lucky to have an aged - good - right winger to play at right back, else we'd have a hat trick. I think Neill is s***, but him and the other 2 you mentioned are still better than the s**** we have. Roeder failed to get what we needed, thats a fact. But regardless of that, my point about there being no injury list stands. so why pay over the top for players marginally better than what we have...roeder failed to get what we needed, ferguson failed to get the keane replacement.i'd have been more pissed off buying zat knight for £7mill than getting through with what we have. Who said marginally? Upson is a considerably better player than Shambles. Neill is a better full back than that lazy cretin. Roeder. Failed. To. Buy. What. We. Needed. Twice. And then spent money on a player we needed FAR less than we needed defenders. funny, many west ham fans think upson is crap, even if they are better.how .much.are .you.prepared.to.pay.over.the.odds ? i think wayne bridge is a very good defender,if chelsea ask £12mill then no f****** way....upson for £8mill,davies for £9mill...keep any money and keep looking. So you believe Roeder did the RIGHT THING not replacing players (Bramble, Carr, Moore, Babayaro) who are not good enough for the Premiership, and then wasting £5m on a player we didn't need? Honestly? replace them when possible,if you cant cos clubs are asking ridiculous fees then so be it. as for buying duff,he stated that he wanted an experienced player who could play down either side(bearing in mind with milner likely on his way at the time we had little strength out wide on both sides)which in that respect wasn't a bad move. It was a terrible move, when we desperately, desperately needed new players in other areas. I reiterate - the ones we have are NOT premiership quality, and he failed to get players who are. He is a failure, and he will continue to make US fail. should he just think"we need defenders so i'll only look for them regardless of what else comes up"we bid for zat knight (£7mill..f*** me..i've heard)so cash was there,i'll ask again how much are you prepared to be ripped off, would you buy upson for £8mill. truth is you don't know who he was looking at or others he bid for(not everything makes the papers). tell you what may be a bigger endictment, that we finished 3rd with as bad a defence, but since that season, under robson, souness and roeder we are so disorganised.you may want to slag off the defence,i'll slag off the defending as a team You're right, n ot one of us knows who he looked at. But we know who he bought. No-one who was good enough. He's an idiot. In the same way as no-one knows who he looked at, no-one knows how much better players (i.e. MANY players) woudl have cost. The values you give are totally arbitrary. As it happens, i think that having s*** like Shambles in the team has cost us millions this season, on top of the wages we pay thw pathetic t***. it's not arbitrary at all, upson went for £8mill after numerous lower bids were rejected, west brom turned down £7mill+ from spurs for davies.,which players at the time did you announce we should buy and for how much ? off to kip now,i'll read your reply much much later, through bleary post match eyes and possibly on monday

but do they only become insolvent when they can't finance their liabilities ? ie and a learning exercise for myself here....club A is £100mill in debt,NAV of £25MILL but are financing all loans etc,due to the unique(well it might be) nature of footballs accounting re amortisation have players in the live market would be worth say £150mill,is this club in danger of insolvency ?
-
I would have thought any personal liability is small due to the club being a limited company. It's interesting though about trading while insolvent. If a director knowingly trades while insolvent and a creditor is refused payment, he can seek personal recompense from the directors. The 'limited' nature of the company as a seperate legal entity ceases at this point. The Smash Robot will be able to explain it far better than I could. I understand that, I'd never really given it any thought until macbeth raised it and you replied. I wonder if that's why the club are looking to restructure the debt? They could see a problem looming so are trying to reduce debt payments to head that situation off, it's an interesting point. don't they only become insolvent when they can't finance their liabilities ? (i'm thankfully not an accountant)
