Aye, what with Sporting Lisbon calling their ground "Roker Park".

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to play Atletico Madrid in Sela Cup

Real Sociedad had a similar policy until signing John Aldridge. -
There's issue in the family section apparently of seats not being close to each other. For example you can't buy an adult ticket on its own, at the same time if you want to take little 5yr old Geordie the seats may well be 10 rows and 70 seats apart.

Yeah, Boselecta knows nobody knows anything.

Seems like the 60mill is an arbitrary price decided on by that paper/site.

Ahh when you re read the headline it doesn't say 60m bid its says bid for 60mill Maddison so we may be upping our bid to 42mill or close. -
I agree but where is the 60mill talk from ?
-
Headline says we are preparing a bid, article says we are considering what to do after first bid is knocked back
-
Seems like a fitting heir to the mantle of such greats as Ball and Cattermole.

I could also see Maddison there mind. Though surprisingly if the media can be believed Paqueta would be cheaper. -

While I'm on re Paqueta he could also play right on a front 3. There's no reason that position has to be a touchline hugging winger, it can be played narrower allowing him, the midfielder or even full back provide that width also. -
Never bothered with a half timer in the gallowgate due to the queues but barely have to wait in level 7 family bit.

Even if they had some cans/bottles from local operations it would be a start.

Didn't see anything wrong with 2 subs. And I'd make it out of a bench of 3. -
Didn't the Sevilla president compliment the way we went about the Carlos transfer even though it never came off.

Where does Paqueta fit in in a 433 ? On the right of the middle 3 and Bruno at the base, He's given more license to get forward and support like an inside forward and Joe is more taxed at covering. And we do t have to stay 433. -
The Tour de France Femmes has been a bloody good watch also
-
Re the central midfield, its why I prioritise a right sided centre mid (if we continue 433) slightly more than a winger. If we want to play a possession dominating game, only Bruno is comfortable receiving the ball from the back when it's not a counter attack. Others will twig on to this soon enough and combat Bruno similar to ASM.

It's why I liked the Intertoto. The games had that little bit extra intensity than the usual friendlies with a UEFA cup place up for grabs as well. -

Hmmmm. It seems strange that in most of those deals, Botman, Carlos in January, Harrison and Maddison since, it was the bottom line that was the issue, as much if not more so than the structure......unless of course you think Leiceater would let Maddison go for 35mill if it was all up front. -

Yet we offered about the same. Should we do what Shepherd and Hall done with Luque and just ask clubs how much they want, they double what they actually want and we pay it ? How much Newcastle tax are you happy paying ? -

It's also widely reported terms were agreed and his agent sent the deal down by wanting more
