I remember seeing some play about NUFC with Denise Welch in it

Supermac, then Tommy Craig when I got a little more refined.

His "Newcastle United Story" basically a story of the Fairs Cup run, is probably my most read book.
-
Family history has it John Gibson took me home when I got lost from my dad at my first league game. (Coventry, opening game 74/75. 7yrs old, dad stood middle of the Gallowgate and I needed the toilet "off you go then son", game ended, told a copper the situation, ended up in the old press box for PA announcement but the game had ended and my dad was wandering round town looking for me and building up the courage to ring home).
-
And John Gibson before him who you'd regularly see out socialising with the players.
-
I struggle with the engine room. Rice, Mount, Philips etc are massively overrated IMO, especially on the higher end of the international stage.
-
Fair enough, didn't see Menaces post, however you'd have to say La Liga is the biggest challenger to the Premier?
-
It's not sneering, it's economics. Right now it's (Premier league) the most watched and the biggest earner and the rest have some catching up to do. I reckon the Euro league will come before other leagues overtake the Prem.

I know you were agreeing bit itvwas worth pointing out that its not the same, £500 is a night out to some, to others it's going cold for the winter. Still £500 but it's relative.
-
Is it the same price for all if the boiler goes ? For some it's more than they have. If I have 20k in the bank I can take a week on the sick even with shit sick pay, if I have nowt in the bank I go to work sick.
-
And while I'm ranting I think my higher rate of tax should be raised and given my personal circumstances that would hurt.
-
There's two ways to look at it, there's personal circumstances and there's also understanding value. I can afford to pay £10 for a coffee but I won't. £500 would be a lot to me even if I earned 5k a week.
-
They don't have large savings. To them £500 is a lot. £500 is a lot to me and I'm a higher rate taxpayer.
-
He didn't say £500 is nowt.
-
Would he know what a Sunderland kit looks like though ? Do you know, off the top of your head what Ascoli's strip is ?
-
The position they are they have little choice.
-
Well it is different like, you have to have a ticket to get onto the concourse. Any member of the public can go to Shearers.
-
Do auctions work that much ? If we offer more than Milan but he will only go there then Lille have to choose to accept that or risk losing a sale altogether.
-
I'm not so sure. Right this very minute maybe, due to going for titles imminently and Champs league next season but he also has to think of 3 or 4yrs down the line when there's a chance he could be doing that and more in a higher profile league at a club who look very much like they could do a Man City/Chelsea. Get in a Paqueta alongside Bruno, a Diaby like player, young hungry players to the top clubs are looking at and he'll settle. Edit....totally agree with the price mind, don't mind if that quoted is half up front, the rest results based.
-
Thing is do you think Bruno would be here had Liverpool or Man City been in for him ?
-
I'm hoping that's not the up front figure but it could work out to 55m if we get champs league etc.
-
Are they still working in Lira ?

I was ripped off. I git the right to my ticket for 10yrs 3 yrs "free" home cup tickets and my name on the back of my seat which I peeled off when I moved to the family section.
