  1. Have a look at this place when we scored. I actually urge you to look back through this thread to when we scored. I love Neesy.
  2. Hope so. More likely he turned up because of who we were playing.
  3. Don't care. Todays ref was good (even given we should have had a penalty). Lots of Diame's legitimate challenges would have been free kicks with other refs.
  4. tbf he played ok last season when he played further back instead of in the 10 role. Seems a surprise really its taken till now to put him there in the big league.
  5. Had a poor game overall but the bold bit is undeniable and not enough has been made of the little flick for the goal. Knew exactly what he was doing and what was going on round him.
  6. Oh aye and a special mention for the Man Utd fans.....all they wanted to do was wind up the oppositions fans. It's as if they have given up on their team and thats all they have left. Man Utd ? League of Accents more like!
  7. He has since tweeted to clarify (back track) and say Pav trained him for Czech National team not Prague, problem is he’s Slovakian Wraith has had a nightmare Surely it just means this Dan coached him ffs. Also dunno who Denis Martin is but the kiss seems inappropriate from Wraith Sure we had a Dennis Martin as a player late 70's signed from Crarlisle but an NUFC fan. Anyhoo....great debut, seemed to grow massively in confidence after blocking the one on one in the first half.
  8. Don't know what game you were watching, never lost a challange, missed no chances and no misplaced lay offs.
  9. Jose loves us thanks to SBR. Very good performance and deserved(Just about) win. Diame carried on being a colossus. Stillpkeased we have a two week gap. Get Kenedy fully fit, Slimani in and I think we'll be fine.
  10. You'll be shocked to learn which of Joselu and Troy Deeney have more goals this season You'll be shocked to learn that teams can be better with effective players that work well for that particular team, that could mean a forward who isn't prolific. Tbf like between the two, Deeny or Joselu I'd go Mitrovic. It;s why I'm very happy with Slimani. I never disputed any of that though So why point out who scored more goals as if that was the be all and end all ? Because bimpy stated that Watford had a centre forward who scored goals, when Deeney has scored less than Joselu. It's pretty simple really Do you not think he meant he scored goals (he has) but he has more to his all round game. Thats what I got from his post.

  13. Exactly. It changes nothing. It looks daft to say so considering their current position, but I'd say the same for Southampton as well. I remember many nuetrals saying similar about us last time. I'll put my neck on the line and say we'll be safe. Won't be fun or pretty but we do create chances and hopefully we have at least a bog standrad forward now to take the most basic chances that we've been missing. I remember neutrals saying that 12/13 and 14/15, and rightly so, as hard as Pardew and Carver tried to take us down, but not 15/16. That team really wasn't that good, and certainly wasn't in the too good to go down category that Watford and Southampton are in. A good few did mind, especially in pundit land after the signings of Townsend and Shelvey.

The reason they are in a mess is because of Ellis Short, Their net transfer spending over the past 10 years has been in the top 20 clubs in the world. Short has supported them, it's not entirely his fault that the spending he's allowed has been wasted. Ultimately their issue is they're trying to be something that they are not. In reality they are a mediocre club in a shithole city. In attempting to appear to be something they are not, at the insistence of their support, they've had to pay over the odds to attract players who don't really want to be there. That has led to a collective malaise in the squad. It's not Short's fault that they have a city and club up the road that is fundamentally superior in every respect and a support that cannot accept that fact. Is it not the management staff at various levels that Short has brought in, in many ways as bad as Ashley, thats lead to their positioin ?
  15. I like the idea of meeting a specialist after getting an injury. "Multi million pound footbaler gets injured so goes to see GP" doesn't have the same ring to it.
  16. I dare you to sign up to RTG and post that.

I use old notes like Drachmas, French and Luxembourg Francs and Pesatas as bookmarks but I'm sure I have some centimes kicking about somewhere.
  19. It is a penalty though, just the law isn’t enforced consistently. Then technically every corner, every free kick into the box and most crosses are penalties. Well yeah, but if the laws were enforced correctly and consistently, players would eventually stop shirt pulling. It happens all the time because they know it is rarely penalised. If the laws were applied correctly the assistant ref has to be sure that the shirt pull was before the Benteke push off, which it wasn't
  20. Anywhere to get on top goalscorer from now till the end of season ? (Not that he will like just we create the chances and with us being down therer I may get good odds)
  21. He's not a no 10, problem is in the middle 2 he cant do a 90 mins. Had 10 mins, when he was very good, then needed a breather for 5, and repeated it throughout the game.

    Kenedy

best player on the pitch tonight, even thinking of him as 10.
  23. Keepers read a lot in body language how players run up to take a penalty.
