Correct, particularly from short distance. Cheers Do you know of, "rush keeper", "5 pots in" and "maker taker" ? Cuppas and, heads and volleys Cuppas ? Would that be World cup singles/doubles etc ? (I'm still the reigning cup holder of beach world cup singles from when all the lads used to go on holiday every may, close on 20yrs I've held that title now) Need to set the rules down for heads'n'volleys as there were loads of variations depending on where you lived.

Lenny Henry earning that knighthood. Well it wasn't going to be for his 'comedy', was it? It's all in the timing, for example that line is better for waiting a month and a half to post it.

His transfer dealings kept Sunderland up last season This narrative is woeful. When he joined they were 2 points from safety. They stayed up, with 2 points. He gave them a decisive but marginal boost. Sam Allardyce's career has seen him spend lots of money on transfers/wages, staying up in the PL and rarely pushing the top 8. The only managers in recent memory that have been allowed to do that for several clubs are Bruce & Pardew. Really ?

I know it's not but it looks like Rob Lee.

Going by our recent form splutter, during Shelvey's absence, I don't trust this team lumbered with a Colback fueled midfield (minus Shelvey, if injured) to maintain the gap between 2nd and the play-off spots. I'd much prefer to see McCarthy or Delph through the door, in preference to Townsend or the bloke from Swansea. Personally for me it goes Townsend > Midfield General > Barrow Should Shelvey get injured we would still be pinning teams back and creating chances with the wing play Townsend offers alongside Ritchie. Pretty sure Ritchie could be as influential as Shelvey is if we played 2 up front, or at least 1 up and 1 off, at least tried to get someone from the middle alongside or even passed the front man. He did at Bornemouth when they got promoted, scoring loads in the process.

Commentators have fallen for the ex-pro's line of "there was contact" as if that means it's a foul.

I'd shed a tear if I worked out how much Liverpool and Sheffield Utd have cost me over the last month or so.

I wonder how a player with 11 years more experience and playing regularly in this division for most of his career, could be better than Mitro like. It's amazing how we're only to judge Mitro on the league he's used to (Belgian?), it seems no division is easy for him. He's forever 'bedding in.' We could get relegated to League Two and there will be Mitro fans saying "ah but he's new to this division, he's young, give him time!" I say that partly in jest, but I also worry that Mitro hasn't impressed Rafa as much as he probably should have. To be fair, Mitrovic was good V QPR and PNE when he started and scared the life out of Norwich when he came on and we were chasing. One of the few occasions we've played a genuine 4-4-2 under Rafa. We looked pretty f***ing great with it, too. Look how far up Perez was at QPR aswell.

I done that once, couldn't understand why the odds were so long given league positions and relative form of teams. After placing the bet I then had to google what the sport was as I'd never heard of Bandy before. Won the bet easily mind.

How much was too much if you don't mind me asking ? Been having a decent run on Betfairs sportsbook and wonder at what level they may want to step in.

Never heard of him till yesterday.

I have, a couple of friends of friends on nights out over there and the son (in his 30's) of an ex work mate. The work mate was great, followed them all over and always callled it like it was, good or bad.

Your watching different games to me, I remember him gettting forward V Birmingham and Reading. Outside of that he's been Shelveys side kick....in fact he needs to grow up and take charge a bit.
-
The blokes probably only liked it to show he liked it here, possibly not that he wants to come back, like "thanks for wanting me back" type thing.
-
Been impressed with him since pre-season, has genuine quality. Possibly needs to sharpen up in some situations but he'll only get better. Still think he's being played out of position. Should be a box to boxer in a 4 or 5 as opposed to a DM in a 2 IMO

Don't think it's a goer now but think he'd jump at the chance should we go up in the summer.

Bit of crust in your eye made you trip and as you fell your fist hapened to connect with a police horse ?

Horrible behaviour is like Sissoko's antics. Townsend was nowt like that. I'd take him back if the price is right.

I used to go on there for a while. Just pointing out the lies, "Bobby was a massive lads fan","Bobby was spat on by loads" (I pointed out the Niall Quinn spitting) etc but gave up after one of our defeats when I said I had no problem with the result and we got what we deserved to still be met with "Fuck off" from loads. I'm pleased to say that all the Sunderland fans I know, without reservation, think the site is a joke and an embarrassment to them. However after having a few nights out in Sunderland it has to be said that there is a good few RTG type knackers out there.

The irony being that on my 4 visits to Roker Park (including the infamous 1985 game), they were absolutely nowhere to be seen, we had the run of the place, and there were usually large groups of our lot in various bits of their ground. That's not glorifying violence in any way, that's just what I saw. Apparently though, they were a load of crazed ninja pit men who destroyed any team they came up against, regardless of numbers. Everybody was scared of them and they never lost any battles ever. There is a thread on there with them arguing amongst themselves about what used to happen back then with some saying that yes, we used to take the piss down there and others denying it entirely even though other mackems who wewre there are telling them that it did happen.

Anyone hear the classic commentary there, "Gayle loves to score against teams beginning with B, Burton, Bristol city, Brentford.......got a couple at Leeds aswell"

Why should Canada get a world cup? Just in the Americas there's Chile, Peru, Argentina and Colombia who have a much richer footballing tradition. What's heritage got to do with it. It's who's willing to pay FIFA the most isn't it ?

16 groups of 3 apparently. No skulduggery going to happen there then.
