Dunno like, as good as he was defensively V Derby he was as bad against QPR when everything they done came down his side. Love him to develop some poise in their final third, gets in great positions but rarely looks like putting good balls in.

I wonder if we changed the tactics/formation as opposed to the personnel ?

Arsenal spedn £25m p/a less on wages than Man Utd/Chelsea. That's a Kante, Costa & Hazard salaries away from competing. Can they afford to spend that extra though, that was the point wasn't it ?

Purely anecdotally I think you're wrong.

To be fair none of our centre halves look good....one looked ok in thre prem, probably the best at bringing the ball out but hasn't been given a chance at this level, as for the forward, done ok in the prem and similar to Murphy in this divison, played in formations or tactics that dont suit. Or do you think if the manager doesnt play them it means they're crap.....means Colback's great no ? I like both Mitrovic and Mbmeba as it happens, but neither were remotely fit for the purpose they were bought for. We needed two players to form opposite ends of the team's spine in the Premier League. One may be the wrong signing at the wrong time (Mbemba) I can't see Mitrovic being a Rafa player ever. Personally I think Rafa has it wrong with Mbemba. Mitrovic Mmmm I'd play him as much as Murphy.

May be an out there question but is there any sort of erm......proof that Carr had anything to do with that last window ?

Let's say he stays, we get promoted, what do we class as the minimum backing to keep Rafa in the summer ?

I put it down to whenever we concede a set piece Rafa sits down and that other coach gets up, the players get distracted thinking "why does Rafa sit down and that other bloke gets up whenever we are defending a set p........................fuck they've scored"

We've put in a good few performances like that but with Gayle we've took our chances when the oppo haven't.
