Bugger, what channel ?
-
Is there a football league highlights programme anymore, like there used to be after MotD ?
-
Wonder if attendances and viewing figures bare this out ?

Other than Aarrons we don't really have the players to suit him anyway to be fair. I disagree. Sissoko may not put crosses in for headers but he can get past his man and get a decent ball in the box and hopefully with players like De Jong and Wijnaldum whose game is all about getting in the box, should provide more opportunities. Problems we've had in the past is playing a finisher who doesn't work defenders infront of a midfield that doesn't attack the box. A Silva or Hazard would've struggled to create in that set up.

Can't hate Lennie, " I fancy Liam O'brien over the wall" Lawrence.

Slightly misleading to call it RW (I always envisage a RW to be very wide in a 4 or 5 or wide in a forward 3). But that slot on the right side of a 3 behind a target man does seem the position to which he is best suited. Let's hope it is. Is taht how we've been playing? My natural inclination is that's too far up to play Sissoko. don't know if it's how we've been playing pre season but it sees to me that that would get the best from him.

Even if we were to bring in a top quality centre half, out of the remaining ones I'd prefer Colo to part of the squad as opposed to williamson or Taylor for the next year or two.

Worth doing it for the realisation that I share a birthday with Victor Anichebe I share birthday with Willian and Filipe Luís, yay! Me and Demba Ba, and I am one day older than Gazza

Makes sense IMO. Southampton are a very good side, but they're also missing a few players at the back and in midfield. They've also been traveling away this week. Potentially the best time to play them at home. I wouldn't make much of the travelling, the travel here is probably longer than the trip to Arnham, offset by playing slightly more competitive football they should be that bit sharper. Good point. It's the best pre season you can have IMO. The inter toto for us was similar.

Villa also the club we've beaten most since time began. Up yours Brummie! Edit..and when Brummie looks at who they have beat the most, It's the Mackems so at least he has that to content himself with.

Did Palce have permission to offer Colo a contract ?

I'd go.... Krul Janmaat Mbemba Colo Haidara Colback Wijnaldum Sissoko De Jong Aarons Mitrovic The only reason not to play Aarons, Mbemba, Colo or Mitrovic is if playing them increases the likelihood of injury more than usual. For all Mbemba and Mitrovic missed a bit of training they should also have started earlier with the Belgian season starting a good bit earlier than ours. With Aarons, I heard the Mclaren interview saying he wanting to ease him in but he can do that and still play himm give him the 2 or 3 games till Cabella is fit and see if he needs bringing out. I've only put De Jong in there ahead of Perez on experience.

copying hairstyles be my guess
-
Er, they did. As much as this (williamson, gouffran excepted) ?
-
See, two more transfers, what's all the worry!
-
Is Aarons taking part ?
-
Just to clarify, I meant "on his own" not meaning banished but no high intensity/physical challenge type stuff.
-
yet when tiote had his best season for us, and it was a good season he had, his goals and assists stats were shit.
-
With the squad or on his own ?
-
He's good at winding people up and getting them to call into his shows and discuss his articles, basically. That's talksports modus operandi and the rest of the media is heading that way.

Stats stats fucking stats, did you know you can pull off a fantastic piece of play , defensive or attacking without even touching the ball and it wouldn't be marked on any stats sheet ? They can be used as a rule of thimb but never tell the whole story. The world of stats leads you to Allardyce and Pardew. I'm writing off last season for many due to the tactics (or lack of) and going off what the mackems at work said when we signed him, tidy, wins it, keeps it simple, rarely wastes possession and can chip in with a goal.
-
He'd better not bring that sodding dancing bear to training!

Really don't get the hate for this bloke, if it's based on last season then each player (bar Janmaat and perez) should have their own threads full of hate. His is a position, our so called defensive midfiled, I'd be looking to fill after a centre half and before another forward, but, with a differing style of play and better options to pass to, a forward who can hold the ball up, it's quite possible we could see a better season from him. and I'd have him in before Anita, for me, Anita can only play in a 3 man midfield.
