  1. Funny how that happens when we try to defend what we've got. for all the substitutions looked that way we've probably pushed on more as the second half has gone on. their pressure really stopped around 70mins, been pretty even since then.
  2. horses for courses really. had we been playing a team with a more stokeish style of play then I'd gues willo would've started.
  3. Care to explain? if anything he's done the opposite tonight Care to explain? if anything he's done the opposite tonight Yep. We've pretty much went for the Spain Euro 2012 system. (unless Sissoko is centre-forward) I think Bdog was being sarcastic about those that have said that and worse recently.
  4. theres a replay on itv's coverage at 55:40 and you can see nani make contact then kick out a little again. if thats what the ref saw then i can understand it, if it's for the initial challenge it;s a yellow.
  5. wasn't a red....................then you see one angle where nani seems to push his foot further in after making contact, a flick out that makes it seem deliberate.
  6. if you have sky, can you not watch it on itv4 plus 1. that is my plan, i should get home from work at half 5, rather than watching the rest of the game i am just putting that on and just watch the full game without knowing the latest score. ErMahGerd a genius. but that means not knowing whats happening as soon as possible. i can do it for world cup games etc but not for us. hell man, I even have the radio on when watching a stream delayed by a minute. true story.

Just said on total sport he's doubtful less reason not to play Gouffran this time round then. Well somebody was going to

    Alan Pardew

Just naming another substitute who scored a winning goal against us. I'd have counted Cisse's goal against West Brom if I'd noticed he didn't start btw which is similar to Moore's inclusion. I still don't think that's a manager changing the game and I doubt the Swansea fans were praising him for doing it, well only doing it tongue in cheek perhaps. I am sure they won't be looking back at the end of the season and talking warmly about Laudrup's excellent decision to bring on Moore anyway Same as we wont about Cisse against West Brom. They took off a midfielder and brought on a striker who then scored. It was an awful goal from an awful player but it's 1-0 and 3 points. against chelsea we took off a forward (gouffran) and brought on a midfielder (marveaux) and went on to win.
  10. It won't fix the underlying financial problems in Football (ones that have been their for decades). Just saying its not pointless, their's nothing I hate more than the Chelsea/Man City takeover scenarios and I think if it was allowed to happen again that would be it for me and Football (certainly close to it anyway). They've sponsored absolutely everything they own right to the limits of believability and beyond and its gained them a relatively small extra sum of cash per season (£10-15m more than the going rate). I'd rather have these clubs having to do their utmost to funnel some limited extra funds into the club than have then simply allowed to put whatever they want in at the drop of a hat. I wish they were investigated and stopped completely, but obviously that isn't going to happen because the games run by crooks. Also what would you have liked them to put in place to stop the possibility of Man City or anyone else going to court against any FFP rules? thats what i'm waiting for, from what I've read there will be a panel/comittee or whatever to decide on the legitimacy of deals like the citeh academy/training ground sponsorship deals. FFP all comes down to that decision IMO.

    Alan Pardew

i'm looking now at pardew having his version of moyes's near relegation season (and i remember many a phone in with scousers wanting him "sackhhhhed"). next season there are few excuses given the squad we now have (and hopefully have come september).
  12. didn't think we needed to make changes. controlled the second half and made chance after chance.
  13. poor poor defending for that, m'biwa completely misread it.
  14. What's wrong with you today? the "like" makes me think he being sarcastic.
  15. the next tackle would have had him booked anyway if so. surprised he lasted that long before seeing yellow as he'd been lucky not to be booked before that.
  16. The same guy who didn't do pre-season and yet came in looking the fittest of the lot? The crock who's had 2 unfortunate incidents thru no fault of his, one of them a leg break? I can't reply to someone with Ben Arfa in his profile picture. Biased view. LRD's right, despite the club having scanned him etc, monitored him him since he came back, he certainly should be put straight back in at the earliest opportunity and the clubs medical team ignored and the other players blamed for their injuries being their own fault.

The thing is, he's still at the age where if he sorted himself out he could make a decent Championship career at the least...he won't though.

  20. so much of the use of the word "interim". surely i'm not the only one who has to stop themsleves shouting "...and fuck them up" when they hear it ?
  21. He got you to give him your money and has just cashed in to the tune of £100m as well as £125m profits this year. That's not savvy business? You know what I mean. Am I going to buy anything from there again after that? Maybe trainers at a push, but that'll be it. There's only so often you can rely on new custom. if i bought a lamp for my bike for £4 (mind you the most i'll pay is a tenner, more for a rear light mind) from harrods i'd still think "it's a £4 lamp, it's not going to be great".
  22. Probably rightly in this case. Having HBA on the bench to unleash later would still be immense. Aye, I haven't really got any problems with him going unchanged (MYM in for Colo though) for this, but as a general "rule", I don't really like it. i'd play colo alongside mapou for this one, then bring taylor in for colo next week. Thought someone said that Colo was out for this one? oops, didn't know that.
