  1. he is at the minute but i don't think it's his natural game. he wants to be the all doing centre mid who can go wherever he's wanted/needed, problem is the prem is a faster, harder league than where he's come from so he's looking knackered an hour onwards, only appearing when he has the ball from then on (no problem with this, he'll know this, the staff will know this and next season, like anita, it will be rectified)
  2. i think anita would get more of a game if pardew wasn't so wary of the full backs getting caught out, as santon was a few times tonight. i still see him as a possibility of a middle three with sissoko and cabaye but only when both anita and sissoko have the strength to really get through a premier league game.
  3. i like how that right hand side sounds, got a rhythym to it like a shepherd counting.
  4. two goals isn't a great deal when going away, obviously better than 0-0 but not enough to go back to playing a largely reserve team.
  5. don't even think ben arfa will travel if he has a chance of the bench for southampton.
  6. tonights game was very open and we had by far the better of it. no reason why we can't go there and get something.

thats wrong though isn't it, "on DVD and blu-ray" ? shouldn't it be "in local pubs so you don't have to go" ?
  8. as far as the first XI goes thats a point, however it also relies on tiote returning to what he was, if not then i'd put anita in. my only concern at the minute regarding anita is he seems to be caught for a bit strength and stamina, something i'm sure will come when he's used to the prem, in fact i'm confident we'll see a different anita next season.
  9. it;s pretty hard to fit jimmywttoonarmy into a decent tune though.
  10. lovely to have a player who could possibly do both though. lovely to have a real choice in who to pick.
  11. he played deeper for toulouse so i could see that happening. certainly wouldn't agree with it till next season though as he looks shagged after 70mins at the minute and needs to get used to the stamina and pace of our league.
  12. when about 10 there was a lad round our way (he was about 13) who would make a goal out of bits of wood and a net of polythene sheeting. it would only be 5-a-side size and look great till someone scored or hit the woodwork and the lot collapsed. but then we'd go the the gala field on a sunday morning for the club (CIU) games where till the games started we'd have full sized goals and nets, then at half time, then at full time when we got clever and said "we'll take them doon and bring them back to the club before last orders" and we had goals and nets for over an hour.
  13. Does he think Ben Arfa play as a number 10 in our team ? nah , moussa , we just push him out wide and wait for him to do something...don't worry YOU're the key man well it has been mentioned before in the press of pardew wanting to do that (i've yet to hear of any fan agreeing mind) and he did play there when in europe (preperation ?).
  14. I agree with this, but imo there isn't a better natural shot stopper around. The saves he makes, most if not all wouldn't get to krul and worm were last season. i'd also say they had to do it more often.
  15. I only enjoyed Heads and Vols if it was 'Hot Arse'. When the 'keeper had 3 lives and if 3 goals were scored every one would take turns in blasting the ball against the keepers arse. we had a similar to that, sure i've described in on here, we turned heads and volleys into "umph" where, without the keeper knowing the point wasn't to score but to hit the keeper and hurt him, when the keeper knew about it it was "grand master umph" as it became harder. different points for where the keeper got hit and how direct a shot it was.
  16. what do you think actually happens when someone is arrested ? My understanding is that the vast majority of people play in a Europa League game the day after. Daft question, Alan_Shearer. well i'd guess the vast majority go to work as normal. it's not like he fought the law off, was cuffed and thrown in a cell, then waterboarded, tortured with electrodes to the bollocks, forced to stay awake for 100hrs. why shouldn't he play football a day after being arrested for fraud ?
  17. aye, came as a right shock after the nice soft, only half inflated casers we were used to at home.
  18. astro turf ? ASTRO BLOODY TURF ?, we had grass for a month or two, then about 10month of mud or solid hard baked soil. when it got dark we played in the street and that meant slide tackles on tarmac and gravel
  19. even when it had been hanging on for ages, like when your caser had a tumor (the bladder sticking out where the stitching had came away) Was the start of the end that like. Also, "Divvin't kick it on the concrete man, it's new!". Mitre was the ball to have when I was growing up. the weight of a caser when it had been skinned alive on concrete and left out in the rain. how many times did you organise a game, about 20 of you turned up on the field......no ball! actually calling on unpoplar ponces who never played, just to see if they had a ball. aye, the question "is your simon coming out ?", "no he's doing his homework"," is his ball coming out then?"
