Yes we are getting higher calibre players but because of that there are clubs that are currently higher than us have more pull for the calibre of players we are after. Oh and I don't think wed have been after Ekitike to sit on the bench, same had it been Pedro or Delap.

Get rid of most of the current first team. They came because we were the best option at the time. Can't remember stories of any of them turning down larger clubs or bigger wages.

Not looking at his stats hes not (hes 28 and has three times scored double figures in the top flight, Ekitike twice by 23) and he doesn't look as good an all round player

There is but it doesn't HAVE to be spent on that position, more here means less spent there and vice versa. Buying a cheaper forward could mean spending more at CB or midfield. Either way we'll be improved come September.
