  1. Not just the midfield but also the more forward 3 not being able to press in the same way due to knowing they have to manage the full game as opposed to giving it all for 70 and being subbed.
  2. Some might think we are lucky not to be dragged into a relegation battle even before the injuries etc.
  3. If we don't win what happens ? Of course its not a must win as much as I'd like to and we'd have to accept it if we got beat. What would you suggest, protests at the Monument, take it to court ? The language used round such things does t help "must win", "accept" Ffs It's football.

    Joe Willock

I dont think it'll be a midfield 3 and forward 3 if we keep Bruno. It'll be much more fluid.
  5. Have they had five or six first team squad players out for months at a time at the same time ? Off the top of my head we've played long spells with Pope, Botman, Tonali, Willock, Joelinton, Barnes, Isak, Wilson Murphy, Burn,Anderson all out for months at a time, often 5 or 6 for long spells together. Seriously I know other clubs get injuries and ha e their "crises" but I've not known anything like this.
  6. And we've had the worst set of long term absentees I can remember in my 50yrs following this club.
  7. My bad, I'd just skimmed your post and thought it was just not getting through at SJP not the ID checks at away games.
  8. What do you suggest ? Family sized turnstiles?
  9. Or a mistake to keep him if the person they brought in had won them the title ? Football sliding doors.
  10. Did I say I would go overboard in making my point? It's hyperbole to get something over. The point was about looking at results alone without context aaaaaand I think I made it.
  11. Surely nobody can look at a run of results in isolation without viewing context, to go overboard but make a point I wonder how Man Utds results looked for a few months after the air crash ?
  12. When was the last time we had anywhere near a full strength squad ? I don't think I've ever known a season like this for long term Injuries to first teamers.
  13. Some would have had Keegan sacked the season we finished 6th and spent a lot of it going nowhere fast.
  14. I've been saying it for a while re deliberate fouls (no attempt to play the ball) to stop us breaking has become a regular tactic against us. If Odegaard's was a yellow, which it was as it was clearly deliberate, then at least another 3 or 4 should have followed before HT. Not a whinge as it wouldnt have altered the result but a ftustration as its happening every week and rules are there to prevent it being used repeatedly but the actions aren't taken. To the point where, I don't know if Refs still go into the dressing room pre games to brief the teams but if they did, I'd be tempted to say "We're going to give the ball to Gordon in the first 5 mins, he's going to be upended with no attempt at the ball, you'll give the free kick, we'll do it again and someone else will deliberately foul him and you won't book them because its too far from goal and too early and the pattern of the game is set"
  15. Don't pound her then, at least not at the match.
  16. It was the major game on Premier league goal rush, so anyone wanting to go game to game as things happen would have watched that. Its what a lot of people do, it's often not Man Utd. Just because they are watching your team, doesn't mean they are watching "your team".
  17. It's not strikers necessarily, what I wanted was a Joao Pedro type who could play as a CF (Gordon plays there but not the role) and be equally effective on the right. FWIW I dont see Isak as a Wilson type through the middle CF, he can drop into those middling positions between the lines a lot more or drift to the wings, think of 2 or 3 being able to dovetail higher up like Willock/Joelinton were doing in the middle.
  18. I'd guess he's started making certain aspects of the club more professional and someone can come in and keep it going plus we make a nice profit for FFP. Then its been worth it
  19. It's what I'm expecting and will be ok with it. The sooner they want him the more it'll cost but not before the end of the next window anyway
  20. Brexiteer who fucked off to Monaco for tax purposes. Proved how strong a business base we'd be by building his electric vehicles in the EU instead of Brexit Britain.
