  1. no. i'd like to see more of him to find out though.
  2. are those odds from today? i placed it just after the palace/west brom game on betfair. the odds shouldn't have changed much if at all.
  3. there is a 3rd option..... we do OK next season, the finances are sorted and we look to grow, he's only 18 1/2 by then and agrees to a new contract being happy here and knowing he probably wouldn't get as much pitch time at the barce's of this world. (all assuming he looks to be fulfilling his potential). even then i suppose it's just postponing things.
  4. the 'tbc' is the concern good point, well he came early last season iirc so can't imagine him not signing anything smaller than a 3 year deal so i would say that would be 2012. wiki has him arriving january 2009 signing a three and a half year deal. (also strangely 'reports' had him recently having a trial at ac milan ?)
  5. as stated earlier, so far in his career he has always started off well at new clubs then tails off. i hope it's down to inexperience, believing he's made it and eases off .
  6. things could get hairy if he is only contracted till 2011. .com has him contracted till 2012tbc. wiki also has him till summer 2012.
  7. barce and sheff weds are my tricky ones (that means liverpool will balls it up)
  8. sheff weds to get relegated barce to win champs league chelsea to win prem bayern munich to win budesliga chelsea to win fa cup liverpool to win europa league 33/1

is it funny ? if so linky please.
  11. bad enough to sell some of their better players to boro and we can see what effect they had there.
  12. Same can't be said of their supporters. Brilliant noise. Be a bit of a shame if Lyon and/or Bordeaux miss out on the CL next season. Can't see Auxerre, Lille or Montpellier being up to much in it. Lille have some really nice players and a decent squad, so I think they would put up a good challenge. Auxerre could be competitive with some improvement, but I don't really think they have the money to psuh forward, their title challenge this year was a surprise. Montpellier would have no chance. Lyon will be in the CL places if they win their match in hand anyway. Not sure if they will anyway, after how poor they were today. Lille do have a decent enough squad but will it not get plundered over the summer? I'm no expert on Auxerre but if they were to gamble & spend a fair bit on new players wouldn't that jeopardise them as they have quite a small budget due to being from a small town etc. That manager who was there for 30+ years still on the scene? guy roux wasn't it ? went to lens but didn't last long. i think he's retired now. santini took over from him at auxerre but i've no idea if he's still there.
  13. unfortunatly i dont think alcohol was the root of joeys problems.
  14. purely my own thinking but the only thing I can think of that would want to make MA delay the accounts is the fact that we are now champions and promoted. obviously a very good foot note to the accounts and reduces the going concern risk for the auditors. Didn't know you were a trained accountant or auditor madras, the plot thickens... self taught.

  16. I wouldnt say it was something he 'badly needs to work on'. Its not like if he doesnt practice his shooting in training over the summer and puts some extra curricular shooting in as well that he's going to stop being a good footballer and the rest of his future is doomed. He doesnt get too many chances with his feet, we put crosses in for him, so he scores headers. He is inexperienced in front of goal, his thinking time and decisions aren't like Rooneys, Torres etc. But look at Defoe, he only started scoring in the last couple of years. He's a good prospect, a very good header of the ball, competent with the ball at his feet (he may not carry the ball as far as Jonas but he still looks like he has it under control at least) decent touch and learning well. I don't get your disdain with Carroll. once he's made his mind up....thats it.
  17. doubt there'll be any bickering. In theory I shouldn't have spotted this post since this thread is opposite-bookmarked. You can't be for real anyway madras. You know as well as I do that it'll disolve into the same tedious s**** it always does. what you trying to say like "fred was great" ?
  18. me too but i think the loss will be bigger than a fair few are expecting.

  20. just a rough guess mick but was there supposed to be a smiley there ? edit....oh no you've been taking lessons in the lanky scholl of quoting.
  21. anyone want to make any predictions before we get to see them ?
  22. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/spl/rangers/rangers-in-crisis-the-herald-explains-rangers-financial-web-and-reveals-tax-claim-that-could-cripple-club-1.1023558 those nice friendly chaps at glasgow rangers seem to be in a spot of bother.
  23. at times he's very good on the deck. he set loven up for a hat trick of chances in one game that would have got jonas MotM had he done it. when he has the ball (which is sometimes the problem....his winning of the ball when its not in the air) he holds on to it more than adequatly and lays it off well. not saying he's going to the world cup or owt daft like that but i bet he's caught capellos eye. And will then work on his nose, his jaw... yip i left it open for just that......pleased to see someones awake.
