I'm just going to repeat it in here for posterity - he should never play for us again.

Very lucky against Blackburn, and outplayed first half by Villa, a pattern emerging i think. We've played like that most of the season, though. We've had games where we've got spanked as we did today and games where we've rode our luck but still took three points. It's arguable that "the slide" has been coming on since August.

He gave the ball away at one point and just stopped while his man ran upfield 40 yards or so. Simpson was going apeshit with him. To be honest that whole right side is piss poor. Simpson tries but he's simply not good enough as much as I like him. A squad player at best. Obertan? He's one of the most shocking players I've seen in our shirt. So so poor its puzzling how he ever made it. I'm sure many an amateur player would do better. He's an absolute fucking disgrace. He might be all fancy flicks in training but on the pitch he's an absolute shambles. Don't get me wrong I'll support him if he continues to get picked, but he should never play for us again. The fact he has played more games for us than Ben Arfa has, showing no more predilection for defending than Hatem, yet the latter is the one getting shite for not tracking back baffles me.

Obertan should never ever play for us again. Atrocious footballer who managed to lance any future complaints about Ben Arfa's lack of defensive nous with his fucking shambolic display tracking back this evening. Pardew deserves a clip for starting him.

At his best he's good enough to start for a lower half side in the Premiership, so I can't see why Cardiff would loan him and bench him.

He seemed to be more willing to run at his man today than he has been in the past, however there were still a few moments where he made the wrong decision. For example there was a moment early in the second half where Cisse was bursting through the middle in acres of space, he was more or less one on one with Given, and Obertan just had to play a relatively simple pass to him. Instead he tried to go it alone.

You'd be nervous if you were playing behind Richard "ah shit, that's my net isn't it?" Dunne.

He looked a right handful from the moment he came on, cracking goal too.

That Villa defensive line is awful. We have a front 4 capable of putting 4 or 5 past them. Pardew needs to grow some balls. 2 wingers running at the full backs would be ideal like. Would imagine Jonas can roast Hutton too. If Jonas has a good day I can see Hutton getting sent off. He's a dirty fucker at the best of times.

Maybe thats because we are not playing him in the right position....... We are playing in a deep playmaker role in a 2 man midfield when all his life hes been furthest forward as a b2b mid in a 3 man midfield..... He's doing his best but we wont get the best out of him until we switch to a 3 man midfield IMO..... Luckily he's such a great player who is really the complete midfielder that he can play anyrole effectively.... It also has'nt helped that we havent played him with Tiote as much as we all wished, but make no mistake he's a great player and no way IMO he is overrated. Him and Tiote have combined fantastically at times, the Man United game being a case in point (and the last time they played together). I don't think he needs to play in a 3 to play at his best, he just needs a year to fully adapt to the English game and more time in the pitch with Cheik.

Like the description many would use for us. I'm no so sure. We've still got at least one or two genuinely class players in attack, midfield, defence and in goal. Granted we've got some shite in other positions and are overacheiving, but aside from Sessegnon, Larsson and (possibly) McLean they haven't really got that much to shout about.

They're playing well but they're undoubtedly getting a lot of luck. And luck, as we found out earlier in the season, has to run out eventually. Fingers crossed it's before we meet them.
