I loved Laurent Robert though, i don't think HBA is anywhere near as good as Robert. They're both French, ergo they're exactly the same. Should know that. HBA hasn't been given the same chance that Robert was, then again Pardew isn't Sir Bob.

Our only chances in the second half came from HBA. Don't get me wrong, he was piss in parts but then he's hardly the type of player to excel in the role he's been given - coming off the bench for a few minutes to rescue a point. He needs a proper run in the side. He didn't come on to rescue a point though we were winning when he came on. You kna' what I meant, and the point is still entirely relevant. You can't give some cunt 20 minutes to prove their worth, especially when they're in the position he is. He gives the impression of someone trying a bit too hard, which doesn't shock me when he was effectively relegated to the reserves for an average half against Blackburn (despite the fact Obertan has made a mockery of our shirt since he arrived). Pardew's man management of certain players leaves a lot to be desired.

They do it all the time. I'm sure Obertan was on a programme earlier in the season for one of the few games he was dropped for. Marveaux and/or Saylor seemed to manage covers just after their season ending injuries too.

aye, for all i'd say he was consistently better last season i don't really think he's put in better performances than V man utd and spurs this season. And what happens? Spurs - looks like he's getting back to his usual self after the visa fuck on and knacks his knee against Wigan in the next game. Man United - looks like he's getting back to his usual self after the knee knacking and has to jet off to the ACoN. Keep him fit/away from America/away from dodgy friendlies in Africa and we should be fine.

If we mirror the results we secured last season this season and those around us do the same we're on for a solid 5th. I'd like to think we can better that in some way.

I know we're sixth, but I think we've really 'missed' Tiote this season. He's had a very stop-start year and arguably not been as good for us as last year because of visa issues/injury/ACoN duty and he's taken time to get into the groove but when he has he's been immense. His performance against Man United is the best I've seen one of our players perform in a long time. Hope he hits the ground running tomorrow and carries it on until May, because he could genuinely make the difference between 4th and 7th.
