  1. Let's ask Jose Enrique again shall we. Jose, What's the gaffer like? “The training with the players is very different with him and I like him because his training sessions are so good. “I cannot believe how hard he works. “He seems to spend 24 hours every day at the club. “He is so dedicated to the job and gives his all. “He is thinking about the games all the time, watches the videos and is so thorough in his preparations. The players respect him so much.” Thanks, for clearing things up, sorry for having to drag up old articles. Cheers Jose. He's clearly talking about Nolan there though. Nee chance.
  2. I was ITK for once and I didn't bloody realise it. I thought this was common knowledge when Simon Bird told me months ago.
  3. Exactly, we can take a punt on a freebie and if he's crap, his reputation in Scotland will probably be enough to take him up there for a fee! The risk is really if we give him a great wage. If we do want to move him but no-one is willing to pay his wages then he'll sit here till his contract runs out. That's the Newcastle way! Not the Ashley way though.
  4. I don't see a problem with getting Boyd. Minimal risk financially, has a proven track record of goalscoring albeit at a lower level and can probably be moved on for a few million should he be shit.
  5. Respect is such an abstract concept in football nowadays. It's thrown around too much. I'd wager very few managers command complete respect from their players and those that do - your SAFs and your Wengers - have earned it. I don't spend a lot of time at the training ground, I don't see what goes on between players and staff, so I can't say whether the players do 'respect' Hughton or not. I don't think his management style does him any favours in that respect though as he seems very hands off and hippy parentish. That can go either way depending on the characters we have in the squad but last year it seemed to work pretty well, the occasional punch up aside.
  6. There's worse though. BBC 1, ITV 1, 2, 3, Channel 4, 5, and BBC 2's not up to par these days anyways... Nah, actually BBC 3's quite decent. You'll not find the likes of mind-numbing sh*t like "Pop Idol" or "X Factor" or any of the "talentless dross for drooling morons" shows on there ! No, you'll just find Joe Swash Meets the Osmonds, Danny Dyer's UFO Hunt, a plethora of Horne & Corden shite and Two Pints of Lager...
  7. I have a tendancy to believe him giving how piss poor the article is aside from that quote.
  8. I doubt it, he's in Germany covering Schteve's appointment as Wolfsburg manager. McClaren was interviewed on SSN before, the Dutch accent has gone. :-[ In the process of getting his German one up to scratch. Apparently he was seen leaving Rumblelows with the 'Allo 'Allo boxset in VHS.
  9. I doubt it, he's in Germany covering Schteve's appointment as Wolfsburg manager.
  10. I like how they say "until Quinn speaks out" as if any fucker listens to him outside of Wearside
  11. got this by way of reply.... and have just sent this of...... wonder if i'll get the man himself ? His email address and mobile phone number are in the public domain if you want to contact him directly.
  12. Elswick Mag over on Skunkers has apparently just got off the phone to Mr Taylor
  13. http://www.indiaweekly.co.uk/news.html?groupId=8&newsId=5087 If anyone is interested in making their feelings known to Mr Taylor himself the last line of that article may be of interest.
  14. I fail to see what Jenas did wrong. He had the very good sense to see Souness was a useless cunt and the Toon where well set on a rocky road to nowhere and bailed out. The goldfish bowl jibes where said by Souness not Jenas. He'd been in awful form for a year or two before he was sold. He was made more of a target because Robson would not drop him even when he was playing poorly.
  15. and fishing for opinions too... He asked about whether we intend to buy them, not whether we liked them too You've been rumbled cuntfeatures. http://images.icnetwork.co.uk/upl/nechronical/jul2008/0/7/FCF91614-B457-C338-C57339B70FC04D1F.jpg
  16. This robnufc fella is interesting. Two posts, both of our new kits.
  17. It could've been worse. It could've been "Geordie Nation".
  18. They're not Photoshops. Chances are they're prototypes of the actual kit, hence the naff sponsors logo, prototypes of a proposed kit or a genuine fakery. The home kit would look canny if it wasn't for the position of the Puma logo, the away kit is okay too. What the fuck is that white thing though?
  19. Jonas versus Barnsley followed by Pancrate versus Watford.
  20. I don't think that's Crumpy's point at all, mind.
