But their entire business model doesn't rely on getting people to take out loans they can't pay back, as is the case with payday loans companies which get 50% from their income not from interest, but from fines and charges for missing payments.

Because he quite happily wore a shirt with virging money on, while playing in the barclays premier league. They're both money lenders who chatge interest. What Cisse is effectively saying is that Sharia law is ok with interest rates of less than 50%. Which is absolute bollocks. No matter how many times I see this argument (and it's a lot) I really don't get it. Reports are that he has religious and moral objections to it. I can't see how it's so baffling to people that you might let something slide that has a minor conflict with your religious or moral beliefs, but not something that has a major conflict with it. That's being quite flexible and accommodating with your beliefs, exactly what people are asking of him. Oh, a devoutly Jewish player has a problem being sponsored by a porn website? But they didn't have a problem with begin sponsored by Waitrose who sell pork, HYPOCRITE! HYPOCRITE! You're Catholic and don't want to be sponsored by an abortion provider? But you were sponsored by Sainsbury's who sell johnnies, HYPOCRITE! HYPOCRITE! Players would be in their rights to object to the sponsor with no religious justification at all.

Are there teams of a similar level to Sunderland who had a massive turn around of players and failed miserably? Can't particularly think of good examples one way or the other.

The game's massively biased against defensive midfielders in general like. You can be Xabi Alonso in the holding role, but the defenders get the points for the clean sheet you helped maintain and unless you're getting the last or penultimate touch for a goal, tough shit. Plus the bonus point system favours attacking play as well.

Who set up the league last year? May be able to just renew it in your league menu. See they're pushing a new pay-to-play league this year with cash prizes. Tried incorporating RVP in my team and got to the point where I had to buy 2 midfielders with 5m. Then tried without him in, managed to fill my team with pretty good players and then realsied there was no-one I particularly wanted to be captain for GW1.

I know you don't become a bad manager in one season, and it's a fair question to say if he's clueless how come we finished 5th last season? Thing is, things didn't go wrong that season. We hit the ground running from the off and everything seemed to just fall into place. Of course, he deserves credit for keeping that going. But Pardew's main flaw seems to be that he doesn't know how to change it when things ARN'T working . And that seems to count short term and long term. Are there games, seasons or distinct periods where we've started poorly and turned it around?

Shad Khan, owner of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, agrees to buy Fulham. http://prod.static.jaguars.clubs.nfl.com/assets/images/team/management/shad-khan.jpg He looks like Ron Jeremy's Mexican cousin Juan Jeremy.

Cover the feet and the tail looks like a semi-on kitty cock. Hope he pulls his socks up.
-
How come the confidence he expouses in his own ability in interviews isn't mirrored in the way he sets up to play - ie shit scared, negative, on the back foot and the perpetual underdog in every game.
-
Whether you judge him on his words or his actions, it's difficult not to come to the same conclusion.

We've been really, really unfortunate to have Pardew in charge of our cup games.

Something about that just tickles me Sounds like a quote from Hello magazine, splashed across an article in a neon star "YES, we want a baby!"

You can't expect us to make signings with our director of football on holiday man, we need his input or we could end up buying any old rubbish.

Bars won't be opening up early though. I'd be willing to bet at least some will. Doesn't Wetherspoons open at stupid o'clock on Sundays anyway and serve beer not long after? I'd be surprised if most people weren't on the sauce by 11.

4pm kick off for these lot away is going to make for a fun day both at the SoL and in town. People are mortal enough by 12 on derby day. If we sign Bent and he scores against them the game will probably end up abandoned.
