This ref is terrible for both sides.

Looks so bad when they are still allowed to make a concussion sub after the medical team cleared him to continue playing.
-
Bruno looks a bit lazy when they have possession. Many times one of our players has sprinted past him when defending.
-
Schär got skinned but love the awareness. Good chance the old Schär makes a rash decision and gives up a penalty.
-
Love that effort by Longstaff.

Something bad might happen, something good might also happen. I don't see the point in being scared of being successful. We might not get Europe the following year and everyone good wants to leave. We could also have a great European campaign that raises the profile of the club and helps establish us as one of the "big seven".
-
I just don't understand attitude like that. I was there in our last European tie a decade ago and it has been a long enough wait, no matter how ill-equipped our squad would be for it. If we miss out on few positions in the league the following season due to that, I honestly don't care.

He's been there for few months and all the stars have been fit and motivated ahead of the WC. Bit early for conclusions like that. -

He's played more in Ligue 1 than Anderson has played in PL, have we ruined Anderson's career? -
I would say the WC is definitely a plus for us. Not that many of our players are going and we have a lot thinner squad that now gets a six week rest/another pre-season. Also possible January additions get to play more games than they would in a normal season. We have the momentum on our side but it's not as important as it was in the second half of last season. We are legit playing well now and fully 'deserve' the good results. NUFC are 5th on the expected points table, behind Brighton but ahead of teams like Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea.

My post wasn't at all a dig at Anderson, he's an exciting talent but the teams who are fighting for top 4 have £50-100m players on the same positions, even on the bench. It's just not fair to say that a 19-year-old kid who's yet to score or assist a PL goal could be our joker card in the fight for top 4.
-
People really need to manage their expectations with Anderson. He has potential but to have him listed as a possible reason why we could finish 4th instead of 8th? Calm down ffs.
-
Six week break coming up and he's not going to the World Cup, I don't think this is really the time to be overly cautious with him. Same with Wilson.

Didn't mean to imply you didn't know the laws, sorry. It's just impossible to give the striker 'fair' advantage as then the line would just be in a different spot but the arguments would be the same. Like striker gets 10cm leeway but the same conversations would be had if a striker is offside by 11cm. Edit. Thought the earlier was a reply to my post, sorry again.
-
I still think it either has to be onside or offside and keep anything subjective out of it. Rules are like this now and it would only be more complicated if you would allow some limbs to be in an offside position in some decisions. I'm all for only drawing lines from the furthest feet to make it more simple but those are not the rules now.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Dembele have a good game, must be fucking dynamite in all the games I miss.
-
But he wasn’t offside. Kane would have been offside if it touched him and I thought it wasn’t obvious after ten replays.
-
Looks like almost guaranteed star, shame all of Europe will be after him.
-
16 goals in group H tonight.
-
I've seen him few times and he has looked really poor and one-footed, with Almiron's form I would be disappointed if we signed Harrison now. Rather sign someone that's better than Almiron right now or a lot younger.

Looked like a soft pen for Man City but saved!

Dortmund has been easily the more dangerous side here.
